THE GLEN CONSERVANCY
Glen Harvest Festival
Saturday, Sept 21, 2019
The Glen Conservancy will host the second annual Glen Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 21, 11am to 4pm. The festival will take place at Conservancy Hall, 1538 State Highway 161 in the hamlet of Glen.
Events for 2019 include 18th century games with Shari Crawford and Punch and Judy shows with the Punchbowl Sisters. Pumpkin painting will also be featured.
At 2pm the 77th NY Regimental Balladeers return for a concert: “Abraham Lincoln & Mark Twain in Story and Music,” featuring Peter Lindemann as Abraham Lincoln and Don C***s as Mark Twain. The concert will be followed by a country dance called by Shari Crawford.
The Rustic Red House at the Glen Country Store, at the corner of Route 30A and 161 and Tracy Soper’s Glen Cottage Farms, across from Conservancy Hall, will have special activities. Other vendors and activities will be offered in the hamlet. The Glen Conservancy would welcome additional participants and activities.
Conservancy Hall will be remembered as the former Glen Reformed Church Hall, built in 1831. As one of the hamlet’s early buildings, it is a contributing element in the Glen Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
