Rachel discovered the creative wonder and joy of wedding planning when planning her daughter, Mariah’s, wedding. From there, the dream was born to one day have a family-owned wedding venue.

Kathie is the matriarch of the family, lending her skills and expertise on-site and behind the scenes as she champions and encourages Rachel and Mariah in all that they dream.

Mariah is, not only an indispensable on-site assistant, but is also creatively gifted, bringing a fresh and lively energy to the social media aspect of Somos Family Weddings and Events. Like Rachel, Mariah is a visionary. Together, they are devoted to making the wedding dreams of their couples a beautiful and memorable reality.

The name we chose for our wedding venue reflects our multicultural heritage. Somos in Spanish means “we are.” Somos Family (We Are Family) is the expression of our hearts toward every couple we serve as we work with you to make your wedding day all you dreamed it would be. We feel truly blessed to be able to do Somos Family Weddings and Events together.
