School field trip opportunity!
A BUSY BEE, by Ruben Piirainen, teaches the importance of trying your best and that we all have an important place in our community. These morals enforce a number of critical life skills: Empathy as the other bees know their importance in the hive and help Bella to find her place. Communication as students learn that bees dance to communicate with each other. Collaboration as students learn the jobs in a hive and how they work together for the common hive’s wellbeing. Personal responsibility as each character has important and necessary jobs to do. Adaptability as Bella struggles and adapts to new challenges. Critical thinking as Bella explores what she likes and what she can contribute, and a learner’s mindset as she learns her place in her community and how she can best work with her hive.
Friday, January 24th, 10:00AM or 11:30AM
