Gadsden's First Friday is adapting to Mother Nature's challenges! Due to the forecast of severe weather and intense heat, we're making some changes to keep everyone safe while still celebrating. Our streets will remain open to traffic, allowing for smoother flow and easier access to cool spots. Classic car enthusiasts, don't worry! You can still showcase your beautiful rides in regular parking spots and lots throughout downtown. Pedestrians, we've got your safety in mind โ please stick to the sidewalks as you explore our vibrant downtown scene. Despite the weather curveballs, we're determined to keep the First Friday spirit alive! Come downtown to enjoy the atmosphere, support local businesses, and admire vintage vehicles while staying cool and safe. Remember, Gadsden's community spirit shines bright, rain or shine!
See you later and stay cool! ๐ฅต #downtowngadsdenfirstfriday #shoplocal #shopdowntown #downtowngadsden #belocal #drinklocal #eatlocal #broadandbeyond

A beautiful Saturday morning in downtown Gadsden. (And no, Kay was NOT speeding!)
We just wanted to give a shout out to the City of Gadsden for their support of First Friday. After an estimated 10,000+ people on the streets last night, downtown is sparkling clean on Saturday morning! Thanks to Mike Hilton and the crew from Public Works for their help - before and after the event.
We are also grateful to the Gadsden Police Department and the Etowah County Sheriff's Office for making sure there is no trouble!
Thanks to all of you who support our downtown retailers, restaurants, arts, and other businesses in downtown Gadsden. #ShopLocal #ShopSmall #EatLocal #BeLocal #downtowngadsden #broadandbeyond
