I always have random questions go through my mind. Sometimes it's a new thought, but most of the time I'm questioning why we do some things we have always done. Sometimes we just do the things and never question why we do them. We do them because our parents did, and their parents did.. and in that thinking, the reasosns why and the meaning behind the ritual or practice is lost. So today, I asked, "Why DO we send flowers and plants to families for funeral services?"
Sounded like a good question to me. π€·ββοΈ I mean, I know WHY we used to do it... aka...smells..but funeral practices have come a long way and people are buried earlier now and we just don't experience that element of funeral services like people used to 50 years ago.
