Homemade just for you! My Mother has always been my inspiration for all that I do. This is still the same “secret” recipe I use today.

She never met a stranger, and I’ve been blessed to inherit that from her. My Mother taught me to share something I love with all kinds of people. So here is the story of Sweet Mother of Pies.�

In 2000, we picked 600lbs of apples from one of our Granny Smith apple trees. When my kitchen was overflowing with apples, the first thing I knew I needed was a great pie crust recipe; of course, I went str

aight to my Mother! I made 111 pies and 84 quarts of apple pie filling.�

Over the years, after seeing how many pies I was baking for friends and family, my children encouraged me to start a “pie business”! My daughter, Hannah, came up with the name Sweet Mother of Pies. My son, Luke, designed my amazing logo. My son, Sam, creates my spreadsheets for ordering. My youngest daughter, Rachel, helps with the packaging. My son-in-law, DL helped create my page and works on The Pie House. Stacy, my daughter in law, helps in locating hard to find items. My children all continue to encourage and motivate me to live my dream. �

I am truly fortunate to do something I love and honor my Mother in a way that I hope would make her proud. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that in this crazy, busy world we live in I have family and friends that are taking the time to sit down and have a piece of pie! In a way, this business isn’t really about pies at all. I am simply blessed to be the daughter of the Sweetest Mother!�

I am thankful for my relationship with God who is patient and loving and wants only the best for me. All of this is possible because of Him, and to honor my Sweet Mother.�

There’s so much uncertainty in the world right now, but one thing that always helps...just smile as much as possible! Thank you so much Lenzi H&G Photography for choosing Rachel for this “Special” “Social Distanced” Senior photo shoot!❤️😍❤️ We will all look back on this interesting time in our life and hopefully have more smiles than tears. Hold on to Ecclesiastes 3 and trust God has us in the palm of His hand!❤️

It is an old house she has converted to an ultimate gathering place for showers, group parties, business meetings , or just because, it is also where she bakes all of her delicious pies!!! And let me tell you - it’s worth the drive to see The Pie House and taste her cooking!! That place is where I allow myself to relax and to enjoy laughter and all the hugs !! So today, I was finally able to go see Momma Jo and her precious place! If you do not know Betti Jo Weber, you are missing out on one of the most amazing people on the plant. Im bias, but thats totally ok, because God agrees with me :) If you are looking for an AMAZING place for you and your girls to go hand out....THIS IS IT! Its in a precious north Texas town and it lets you and your girls have a tiny road trip, take home a pie and a piece of stunning art!
