Life Happens in Hawaii...minutes and memories.

Last night I saw a mother who was trying to take a photo with her husband and 2 teenage kids by the beach in Waikiki. The Dad and 2 teenagers were protesting, "Come on mom, we've taken too many photos already...".

I saw the disappointment in the mother's face and I asked, "Do you want me to take your photo?" They all quickly grouped together to pose for yet another family photo.

The 2 teenagers forced a smile. Dad did the same. Mom had a huge smile with her arms tight around her 2 children. I snapped the photo and the Mother grabbed her phone from me immediately see the photo. She approved with a huge smile and a 'Thank you.'

The Mother was so happy as she stared at the photo as the group walked away. The 2 Teenagers walked in one direction, Dad walking ahead. Mother walked a little slower, staring at the photos she had taken on her phone.

I guess the message is this; Be happy every chance you get.

Take all the photos you can and capture memories, because 'Life Happens' and it can change in an instant.

Who knows if that family will ever be back in Hawaii together again or if the teenagers will ever be able to bring their own families to Hawaii one day.

One thing I do know is that after 10 to 20 years of 'Life Happening' those teenagers who will now be adults will cherish every single minute and memory they have of their family trip to Hawaii and I bet they will wish they had more of both...minutes and memories.

Life Happens...so be happy every chance you get.
