We have full sets of both Flowers and Snow available for Nutcracker rental! Will rent in sets from 8 - 20 costumes. All bodices and basques are stretch and are interchangeable to allow easy changes for multiple casts. Costumes will come to you ready to dress your dancers and insets and straps are available in multiple skin tones. Let us know if we can make your Nutcracker easier for you and your dancers and a delight for your audience.

The beautiful Pharaoh’s Daughter was dreamed up by Rebecca. During the month of May we work on new rentals for the upcoming season. We go through all the competition variations and add ones we don’t already have or extended sizes for popular variations. It’s so much fun as we divide up the builds and let our imagination run wild. Many times our rentals are decorated to the max and have elements that would be prohibitive, both time and money, for the client. Plus it’s a fun way to try out new techniques and do some fancy embellishment! We will be posting these to our website soon so check them out.

Finished up this adorable little bard costume yesterday! We had such a great time bringing our client's sketch to life.
It has a detachable lace collar for easy washing, long sleeves that velcro in and out of the puff sleeves for those hot days at the ren faire, and the cutest little hat. We are sending along some matching trim so that her lute strap matches!

Today is National Women’s Day. I’ve been thinking long and hard about what I wanted to say about the many amazing women in my life. I will start with the 2 amazing women who work with me and who make me smile and bring my crazy ideas come to life. (They also keep me sane which is a full time job by itself). The women who support me and my business, .alive, , , , .comofficial and the many moms who trust me with making their children’s dreams come true. These are just a few, I’m trying not to write a book. But also the men who have been there as well by treating me as an equal and an inspiration . To the women who I have known in the dance world who have moved on to support and encourage other dancers like .a.bailey , , and the others that I have know that have channeled their passion into their families like , , and are raising children and creating families that recognize that we all have value. To my friends of many years that have supported me throughout my endeavors, Emilia, Sandy, and many others. To all of you I raise a glass and give thanks for all of you. There are so many not mentioned and I send all of you love and thanks for the support. I would not be the woman I am today without the women around me.

It's been a busy few weeks in the studio getting all of the final details ready for Giselle! The final push has been supported by many hours of audio books and podcasts.

Paloma has been hard at work on the many decorative bits for act 1 of Giselle. Our 12 peasants have flowers on both their bodices and on sweet little headbands with trailing ribbons. Each full set of decorations will have taken hours of careful preparation so they can quickly and easily be added once fittings have occurred!

While I don’t like to copy something that someone else has done some costumes are iconic and fun to replicate. This is from the Bolshoi ballet version of Coppelia. Getting all the lines to curved perfectly around the body and look good do so was quite the math challenge and worth it in the end. Once done a well deserved treat by the fire pit.

Now that the spring performance season is essentially over we have started working through our list of new rentals for the year! This Talisman/Cupid is near the top of the list but will have to wait until some trim arrives from England. We both love using sketches in our planning process. While using our tablets is convenient - we will break out the art supplies for certain special projects or if the client wants a physical sketch to keep. Looking back a couple of years when I made some of my favorite tutus for Eglevsky Ballet’s Cinderella! The seasonal fairies were such a blast to make. The only problem I had was I kept wanted to call the green one summer and the pink one spring, you know from the south, but nope the green was spring and the pink pas was summer, lol. We love to make costumes that are not only beautiful to look at but move beautifully and enhance and fit the dancer and the choreography.
