Humble Roots
Bunt Backline was founded by the father and son team of Eric Lenasbunt and Gary Bunt in 2005 to fill a void in the backline market in north central Florida. We started as a true side hustle, with a spare bedroom full of drums and amps and a whopping 2 clients. It was a great excuse to keep buying toys. As we did more shows we reinvested every penny into more gear until we ended up in the garage, then soon a storage unit, then two, then a 1000’ warehouse, then 2500’, and now to 7000’ of warehouse that is feeling quite full these days. We never set out to start a regional full-service production company, but it’s been a fun ride to get here.
Throughout those years of growth we became a major player in the area for all aspects of production, with a special love and knowledge of audio systems. We became the go to and trusted company for repairs, replacement equipment, and new designs and installations. As we grew in these areas we became dealers for most major brands of audio, video, and stage lighting equipment and also rapidly grew our own production inventory.
Today, through the hard work of our humble but amazing team of engineers, designers and technicians we serve the entire state of Florida and much of the southeastern US. We have events and clients from Toronto to the Bahamas. We have multiple venues we provide for, tours and long term packages, and dozens of church and venue installations in our portfolio. We could not have done any of it without the trust and support of our Gainesville and Florida community.
I cannot express how humbled and grateful we are to get to do what we love day in and day out. We take immense pride in our work and our reputation.
