Today marks one whole year since I took a deep breath, trusted my heart, and rebranded into what is now Salt + Heart Photography, and what a year it has been. A year of beautiful growth, creativity, compassion, and the softest kind of healing. A year where I learned that itโ€™s okay to say no when my body, my girls, or my spirit needed rest. A year where I learned to appreciate the quieter moments, the smaller joys, and the sweetness that happens when life slows down just enough for you to actually feel it.

This was their first family session in way too long โ€” life and a very spirited two-year-old (who just celebrated his birthday!) will do that. But watching them togetherโ€ฆ the laughter, the chaos, the tiny hands grabbing onto big ones, the soft moments between sisters, the way Camillia and her husband looked at their babies โ€” it all felt magic.

November is an anniversary month for these two, and getting to freeze their love in this season, with all three kids exactly as they are โ€” bold, tender, silly, busy, joyful โ€” was such a gift.

Perfectly imperfect. Beautifully chaotic. A family with a little spooky flavor and a whole lot of love.

And honestly? My favorite kind of session. ๐Ÿ–คโœจ

Some wedding days feel like theyโ€™re wrapped in a little extra grace, and Megan and Hunterโ€™s was one of them. From the moment the sun rose, the weather was perfectโ€ฆ the kind of soft, golden warmth photographers pray for and couples dream about. It settled over the field, filtered through her veil, and turned every moment into something that felt ethereal.

Their morning was filled with quiet, emotional pockets of time โ€” Megan slipping into her gown with her girls beside her, Hunter buttoning his jacket with that calm-but-excited energy only a groom has. And then came the moments that truly pulled at everyoneโ€™s heartsโ€ฆ

The first looks.

The blind touch.

The way they steadied their breath just hearing each otherโ€™s voices.

There is something incredibly powerful about two people standing on either side of a wall, fingertips reaching, knowing they are moments away from forever. Meganโ€™s smile softened, Hunter held on just a little tighter, and you could feel the weight of their love in the air.

And then the ceremonyโ€ฆ the sun dipped just enough to wrap them in gold as they said their vows. His cowboy hat tipped toward her, her veil drifting gently on the breeze โ€” the simplest, sweetest details creating an entire scene straight out of a country-romance film.

The way they looked at each other all day said everything: home isnโ€™t a placeโ€ฆ itโ€™s a person.

Hi! Iโ€™m Nicole or โ€œNikkiโ€, but you clearly know that already. Iโ€™ve been perfecting my photography for over yen years. I love capturing all aspects of life from love stories, birth, children of all ages, and families.

When Iโ€™m not behind my camera I can be found on an adventure with my four amazing, wild, and sometimes dramatic kiddos. They are forever my inspiration on this incredible journey.

I love all things blue, die hard Disney fan, donโ€™t go a day without my coffee, and have been known to binge watch Hallmark movies during the holidays! I will talk to anyone that makes eye contact and love my jeans + leggings. Iโ€™m forever a Nikon girl and self-taught. I believe in quality over quantity when it comes to friends, embracing the gray hairs, am running out of skin for tattoos, and can plan a cruise or Disney vacation with my eyes closed. But above all, my family is my light.

My full intention is to offer more than just photography. I am passionate about what I do and the people I work with. Connecting with you on a personal level allows me to go above and beyond with my work and the level of service I provide.
