Hello to all! ☀️it’s been awhile since I’ve posted… but thought id say a little about what’s been going on with the flower farm🌷 the plants in the hoop house have been troopers with this cold weather we have had! I’ll be honest I didn’t know if some of them would even survive 😳 and then we’ve been starting seeds like crazy. Like close to 2,000 already! It’s so exciting 🤩 spring is coming!!

What a lovely day☔️🌧️ the past few weeks we have been getting the flower farm ready for winter! The hoop house has a couple rows of hardy annuals planted in it and the plants are doing well (so are the weeds🥴🙈) this weekend we got tulips tucked in for the winter! Now they can soak up all this rain and put their roots down so come springtime we will hopefully have lots to share with you all🌷 planning on taking advantage of this cozy day and making some progress on the website project! 👩🏼‍💻

Here’s a peek at what’s been going on here on the farm😊 the hoop house is well on its way! And I tilled the new garden spot this last weekend! Hope you all have been enjoying this lovely weather we’ve been having 🍁

Good day to you🍂🍄‍🟫 this past week we have been working hard to get the garden cleaned up! We have decided to cut the flower season short because of some very exciting changes that will be happening on the farm!!🤩 it’s a little sad because the flowers were still blooming and they would have continued to bloom for probably a month or so yet. However we thought it best to clear the garden, till it and prep the soil for a hoop house! Yes! A hoop house! 😄 we will be planting little seedlings this fall and we anticipate much earlier spring blooms!💐 also we are hoping to get a website set up this winter annnd a new garden space planted with some perennials. So… we will be busy. I might not be posting much through the fall/winter but we plan to be back next spring with lots more flowers!!! Thank you all for supporting our small business 🤍

Good day! 🌿I thought I’d give you all an update how it’s going on the flower farm! Ive been a little disappointed in the garden the last few weeks. Between bugs, powdery mildew, and the storms we had a couple weeks ago, it feels like I have had to really search for good blooms. However, I was harvesting this morning and I was really encouraged!! There were more flowers than I had expected! This cooler weather we’ve been enjoying has been wonderful. Along with some time for the zinnias to get some growth on them after being beaten down from the wind! So….im hoping I will be able to make a few extra bouquets this weekend for coffee shed and Graber's Ace Hardware - McPherson, KS!! 💐

P.s. thanks to all who commented on my last post! I feel i have a better idea of what direction to head with the garden next season🤍

So this week I am going to start planning the garden for next year. It seems crazy to be already thinking about next season when we are still harvesting flowers! But that’s how it goes with flower farming. As we are harvesting tulips or shortly thereafter we order bulbs for next season. And same with ranunculus and anemones…

That being said… I would love to know what colors of flowers you like! Do you prefer pastels?🌸 Or bright and bold colors? 🌻 let me know in the comments.. there are no wrong answers 🤩🤩

So today I snuck a few roses in the bouquets going to coffee shed and Graber's Ace Hardware - McPherson, KS 🤍 I didn’t grow them, I had a few left, along with some wax flower, from a wedding this weekend. However I think they add an extra special touch to the bouquets! ☺️ I will be delivering bouquets this afternoon/ evening!

We didn’t have too bad of damage from the storm last night! Other than some limbs down and some flowers pretty beat down…So thankful it wasn’t worse! I know not everyone was as fortunate as us😢
