It's a history-making location for a history-making night, and you're invited! The R***e Prevue Party isn't just your first chance to see the bathing beauties. It's also the seaport scene of the year as we kick off the Galveston Island R***e Weekend next to the Official Tall Ship of Texas, the 1877 ELISSA.

$25 admission gets you onto the pier for an evening of music, can't beat photo ops, dancing, and more. This isn't one to miss, so bring your dance partner or find one this Friday starting at 7 p.m. at the Galveston Historic Seaport : Home of the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa. Rat rods, daily drivers, and even vintage farm equipment will be making their way to Galveston Island next weekend for the Galveston Island R***e Weekend Classic Car Show! FREE to the public on Saturday, June 7 from 5-9 pm, these vintage rides will be showing off and competing for the coveted R***e sashes and bragging rights.

Preservation is at the heart of the work Galveston Historical Foundation celebrates as we wrap up 2024. In a year of remarkable achievements, we look back on the projects, programs, and efforts that will continue to make Galveston a beloved historic community and destination. A critical roof replacement of the 1859 Ashton Villa, the first in over 50 years, and repair of the Galveston Historic Seaport : Home of the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa mast, which will continue the Official tall ship of Texas' ability to sail, are but two examples of the crucial work that Galveston Historical Foundation manages.

From seaport nights to pool party paradises, this year's Galveston Island R***e Weekend couldn't have packed more vintage fun into three days if it tried. Congratulations to Katrina Ross (last photo!) on taking home this year's first-place bathing beauty, and a tip of the hat to all 31 contestants, entertainers, spectators, sponsors, judges and guests, volunteers, and staff for rolling out the red carpet this weekend.
