We are located approximately 8 miles north of Placerville, within an hour’s drive from Sacramento and a three hour drive from San Francisco. and a full view of the night sky. At 2,200 feet in elevation Reverie has hot summers and mild winters, enabling a bountiful year-round garden and a multitude of fruit trees to flourish. Today we welcome the first day of winter, and every now and then, Reverie Retreat gets a little dusting of snow — and when it does, it’s absolutely magical. Seeing our pool surrounded by fresh snow is a rare (and favorite) kind of winter moment. ✨

Every detail at Reverie is being thoughtfully designed to support both beauty and practicality — and our latest site-wide enhancements are a big step forward.
We’ve widened our driveway to 20 feet and added a new parking area for 20+ vehicles, making arrivals smoother and more welcoming for future guests. At the same time, we’ve integrated important fire-safe improvements, ensuring the retreat is not only serene and beautiful, but also resilient and thoughtfully prepared.

These behind-the-scenes upgrades may not always steal the spotlight, but they’re part of what makes Reverie a place you can truly relax — knowing care has gone into every detail.

Santa Paws Is On the Way 🎄🐾

Meet Copper & Felix, the resident pups of Reverie Retreat — and they cannot wait for Santa Paws to arrive.

The holiday cheer is in full swing, tails are wagging, and these two are already dreaming about treats, toys, and cozy winter days. As we put the finishing touches on Reverie Retreat, one thing that's important to us is creating a place where dogs are truly welcome, because the best moments are better when shared with your pup.

Copper and Felix fully approve — and we can’t wait to welcome fellow dog lovers and their four-legged family members when we open.

We recently visited Georgetown Distillery and it was one of those visits that reminded us why this place is such a local gem.

From thoughtfully crafted spirits to cozy, welcoming vibes and comfort food that truly hits the spot (that bread bowl of soup definitely deserves a shout-out 😍), it’s the kind of place where you settle in, relax, and enjoy being right where you are.

As we get closer to opening Reverie Retreat, we love sharing spots like this — local favorites we’re excited for our future guests to experience, whether it’s for a casual afternoon drink, a warm meal, or a laid-back evening soaking in the foothills atmosphere.

Our Story

Located in the beautiful foothills of Northern California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. With 32 acres of seclusion we are located approximately 8 miles north of Placerville, within an hour’s drive from Sacramento and a two and a half hour drive from San Francisco. The property boasts stunning views to the west with spectacular sunsets and a full view of the night sky. At 2,200 feet in elevation Reverie Retreat has hot summers and mild winters, enabling a bountiful year-round garden and a multitude of fruit trees to flourish. Nearly the entire property is shaded by large heritage oaks as well as a diverse mix of conifers, giving visitors a pleasant respite from the heat in the summer, vivid foliage in the fall, and lots of habitat for birds and other wildlife. Two ponds and a stream provide the opportunity for swimming, fishing, or dunking your feet in the cool delicious water. A stunning vanishing edge, salt-water pool is the icing on the cake. We are within a burgeoning wine region and a 15 minute drive from the south fork of the American River as well as within close proximity to several smaller rivers and lakes in the area.
