Had a great fun race and are off to a good practice day too! The weather was perfect and the sun was shining! Thanks to everyone to came! Congrats the Carley Ingram for winning the 1D with a 16.677!

Great morning for a race! Not sure how long the wind will hold off but it’s sunny and nice right now! Just some rain last night but our warm up won’t be dusty 😉 Please park up top if possible or in the dirt areas, either by the Old wood Barn (where we do events) or by where the travel trailers are by the bathrooms, (just avoid the grass please) as we are going to try to avoid using the pasture as the grass did get a bit wet from the rain last night and don’t want to tear up the grass!! So the parking might be a bit tight and unconventional at this race, so be patient with people!! and as I joked, you guys may have to park “team ropers” 😂 Thanks for being accommodating so we can have this race!!

Remember you can enter till the last rider, cash in only and cash paid out!

We are having the race regardless of entries, but I am going to hold off doing the pre draw since there’s not a lot of entries, I only have like 10-12 pre entered right now and some are on multiple horses so I will just do a regular pre draw before the race starts tomorrow so if you want to get in the pre draw feel free to text me your entry or just get here and enter before 10:45 to be in the pre draw 😊 remember if you enter and have to turn out there is no penalty you will just be scratched and money taken out of pot.
Also you guys can park up top on the gravel if you would like to be a bit closer to the arena, just try to squeeze in if you can!

And If it’s really rainy I will let people warm up in the arena too if need be beforehand and people can wait in our barn/stall area 🙂

Open $50 ($40 entry, $10 office/arena fee)

Barrel Practice/Open arena after race, arena worked and barrels set on markers, $20 per person. I imagine race will end around 1 pm at the latest as I don’t think we will have a huge turn out!
Text me 775-790-1875 to pre enter, will take pre entries until 4 pm tomorrow (Friday) and will post the pre draw. Will take entries until last rider, no late fee.
CASH ONLY at race, PLEASE DONT VENMO OR ZELLE!!!

Due to weather there will be no penalty for turning out, you can turn out day of and your entry will be scratched and taken out of the pay out. Thats why I don’t want anyone to pay before!!

We are allowing rigs to park up top and may have to utilize more of our gravel parking in case the pasture is wet, so please try to squeeze in if you park up top in the gravel lot!!!!

Question for barrel racers, we had a lot of requests over the weekend so we were hoping to put on a pop up race this up coming weekend, but with the weather showing rain/weather now both days, do you think you would still attend even if it’s cold/rainy? The indoor of course would be good ground but you would be warming up and getting ready outside, etc. and traveling in the weather, so trying to get a feel if it would even be worth it?

I had the flyer all ready to go and post on Monday, but was holding off to see what the weather was looking like since it seems to be getting worse!

Playing around with the idea of one next weekend but it’s dependent on my ground/office crew being there with the holiday weekend going on!

This Saturday and Sunday arena is open for barrel work or open rides from 10 am to 5 pm. $20 a person. Must have current liability waiver for the year. If you already have one you can just put the money in the can or Zelle [email protected] or if you need to sign there will be waivers up there.
It will be groomed and ready for barrels or if you are just wanting to ride under cover.
Anybody wanting to come after 5 pm it will be $25 a person if I have to run lights.

Working on pop up races for you barrel racers so don’t worry! So be sure to check this page often because you all know I am last minute and will sometimes post a race a week out🤣 Probably will only do weekend races, the weeknights it seems are too cold. But we do have new outside lighting and are able to light up our warm up and parking area now so could be an option if you guys are hardcore enough for the cold weekly weeknight races!

Are people interested in us still doing breakaway practices? We could start them earlier or do a different day. Looking for thoughts.
Don’t forget our arena is available for daily rides and will be prepped for barrel work more often.

Pumpkins pumpkins pumpkins!
The seasons now over, but that doesn’t mean pumpkin season has to be over quite yet!
did you carve your pumpkins too early, or they got left out in the weather and froze, or looking for Thanksgiving table decor? Something for the animals (they are a natural dewormer) Or even shooting targets?

I have regular orange pumpkins that have been binned up and covered that are all in good condition for either decor, pies, animals, etc.
these are discounted for sale, I have small- xtra large sizes)

I also have spaghetti and butternut squash, and lots of the decorative pumpkin varieties, mini cinderellas, blue jarrahdales (which are the actual ultimate pie pumpkin!) knuckleheads, and more! Also discounted for sale!

Please text 775-790-1875 to schedule a time to come out and pick up pumpkins! It will be cash or Zelle only, we will not have our card machines up.
If you text or call me and let me know what you are looking for, I can give you a price before hand.

For the ones that have started to go bad in the field, for now I am keeping those since we feed them to all of our livestock. But may have some to give away later on.
