2014-2024. So many people to thank. First I'd like to thank my loving wife Linda for being my biggest supporter and co-owner to my humble little barbecue side hustle for 10 years and my extended family member Kenny who has been my right hand assistant for the last four years. Skott and Bryan Knowles for their help and support in so many ways, Brad and Derrin of OHB for taking a shot on an unknown BBQ guy, to my many many regulars throughout the years and to my friends who are always there for me personally, and special thanks to Matt and Molly Reynolds of Celestial Beerworks and Turning Point. To say it's been an exciting and fun experience would be an understatement. The friendships I have forged through BBQ have been many, however my biggest accomplishment was bringing people together, one plate at a time and deep belly laughs. To my all time pork belly burnt end customer Ranger the German Shepherd...you are such a good boy and I will miss you deeply! Thanks for the memories, the laughs, the bewildered expressions, the love you've given me, and the many many hugs over the last 10 years. Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting me and my food for the last 10 years. On the plus side, you can come hang out with me at Lakewood for beer, food, and my smiling face!

Here is the menu for Saturday at OHB.

-Asian Ribs - TEST RIB
-New Mexico Green Chili Ribs - NEW
-"THE" Bone-in Taco (Discada topped with a ribs) - NEW
-Discada Tacos (bacon, chorizo, pork, beef, ham, sausage, onions, jalapeños, serranos, tomatos, bell peppers, salt, pepper, Jugo Maggi)

All BBQ plates come with potato salad, sausage, and beans. Discada taco plates come with potato salad, beans, and 2 fat ass tacos!

BBQ plates $20
The Bone-in Taco plates are $25

Good morning BBQ fans!

I will be at OHB tomorrow (Saturday) from 12-9pm or whenever I sell out with more lip smackin', finger tip lickin' delicious meatcandy. Going over menu options right now, so please look for my video menu later today.

So I did a thing Saturday while vending Discada taco plates. I had cut a couple of NM hatch green chili rubbed ribs and was looking for room in the clamshell to put them (no room) so I tossed one on each taco and this was the result. I didn't realize how crazy delicious this actually looked until after so do you think, would this sell? Looking for your feedback and possibly a name. I posted the same to my personal account so there have been some great name suggestions so let's keep it going. Cheers y'all and Happy 2024.

Hey folks!

I am finishing off 2023 today at OHB with discada plates and rib plates, short and sweet. Since I'm bringing the most bad ass tacos on earth I just have to bring spicy NM hatch chili pork spareribs just for good measure. Huge thanks to Bryan who gifted me this hella spicy dry rub from Heaven! Plates are always $20 so come hang out with Kenny and I from 12:00 pm until I SELL OUT.

Military, police, and fire always receive a 50% discount just show creds except for you undercovers, you'll have to be crafty! I'm not sure who the beeristas will be, hopefully Dani and Stephen, but whomever it is they will gladly pair a pint of award winning beer to pair perfectly with your tacos or rib plates.

Evening y'all.

I am seeking 5-6 volunteers this Saturday, October 14th to assist my BBQ cook-off team at OHB by helping expo and serve samples of our food to 600 people at the event. It would be from 11:00am until 6:00pm with food and free beer for helping out. This event is for charity and there will be upwards of 4000 people attending, there are 10 BBQ Teams competing and I hope that you will be able to help me out. When you have bulk onions and bell peppers to sautee for beer brats, your inner Mexican breaks out the big disco for the task. Special mention to my awesome wife Linda for the idea because it was a game changer. If you need to cook bulk quantities of food, save yourself time and buy a Disc at La Michoacana Meat Market, El Rancho, or Azteca Meat Market and thank me later. Not only can you make Discada for a large gathering of friends and family, you can also cook seafood or breakfast in the disc. Cheers

Torched coals and oak at 1:45, roaring fire by 2:20, and the pit was fully at temp by 3:00am. I have the Lang 84 loaded with 80 poked brats and Oktoberfest is officially begun for me. Time for chicken prep so I can load the 44 half chickens in two hours-ish when the brats are done.

Excited to be vending tomorrow for OHB's Oktoberfest celebration with a German themed menu. I'll have half chicken plates, Brat plates, and Beer Pretzels. Plates come with Bohnensuppe (German bean soup, and potato salad) and when you order a brat, it comes in a European bakers bun with stone ground mustard, and topped with onions and bell peppers with a side of shredded kraut. Plates are $20 and pretzels are $10

The powers that be got together at OHB and brain stormed what goes perfectly with cold beer, hot brats, and a sunny day? After several hours we picked AXE THROWING.

Oktoberfest is this Saturday and our new friends from Thrown : Axe Company will be here starting at 3pm! They will have a safe and supervised enclosed area for axe throwing.

We will also have Stein Holding Contests at 2pm, Miss Oktoberfest at 3pm, Small Dog Races at 4pm and the Chug Run at 5pm. Great German style brats and more from Double M Barbecue, live music from Mr. CJ's, and more! We are open from Noon to 9pm.

I'll be vending from 12-SOLD OUT with GIANT pork belly cinnamon rolls, pork ribs, and bacon wrapped pork loin stuffed with cream cheese and mango chutney!

1) We are hosting a Brisket Competition starting at 2pm and we have decided to determine the winner by letting the people choose. Come out and get a free taste of everyone's brisket and you can place a vote for your favorite!

2) Double M Barbecue is here from Noon and Joey will have his famous pork ribs, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and his amazing pork belly cinnamon rolls! He is here until he sells out. Come eat some BBQ and have a cold beer on a beautiful Saturday.

We have been on a much needed vacation in Colorado where I have grounded myself in the beautiful cool mountain grass, soaked in the hot springs, and have completely recharged our batteries for another year of awesome barbecue. We will be back in action at OHB on September 16th then on September 23rd for the first weekend of Oktoberfest. See y'all on the 16th!
