🌟 Winter Workshops Teacher Spotlight! 🌟

Stazia Ritch is a dance artist born and raised in North Carolina. She trained pre-professionally for many years at the Academy for the Performing Arts, with a focus on contemporary and modern dance. After graduating high school in 2019, she began to explore her passion for teaching and choreographing at local NC dance studios and public schools.

Since 2020, she has been a company member with the OM Grown Dancers under the direction of Courtney OM. Over these past few years, the company has produced several short films, participated in countless local performances, and premiered a full evening length work in 2022 titled “A(VOID)ANCE”. Most recently, the OM Grown Dancers performed an excerpt of their new work titled “CHANGE” at the Wake Forest Dance Festival. She also has been a part of the Nine Movement Collective under the direction of Chania Wilson since 2024.

Stazia is currently focused on training and mentoring dancers of all ages within the competitive program at APA, as well as being on recurring faculty for the OM intensive programs. She is creatively driven through her personal exploration of intuitive and sensation-based movement. She is a certified Progressing Ballet & Contemporary Technique instructor and encourages using tools such as PBT, yoga, and improvisation to develop body awareness and individualized artistry in her students. Her movement and choreography has been influenced through training and performing work by artists such as Courtney OM, Emily Greenwell, Nancy Andrews, Marcos Roque, Brooke Averette, and many more.

🌟 Winter Workshops Teacher Spotlight! 🌟

Harper Barbour is a dancer and choreographer from North Carolina. She began dancing at the age of three and spent ten years in the competition/convention world. Since beginning her professional career, Harper has had the opportunity to perform with theme parks such as Tweetsie Railroad and Anakeesta.

Harper is currently a featured dancer with the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Harper has been teaching and choreographing for the last five years. Her choreography has been recognized through various specialty awards and top placements. Though she loves performing, it is the greatest honor to get to spread her love of dance by sharing her knowledge and creativity with others.

🌟 Winter Workshops Teacher Spotlight! 🌟

Connor has been teaching and performing professionally since the age of 18. He has been teaching and choreographing for competitive dance studios for 9 seasons.

During his formative dance years he trained under many world-renowned teachers and choreographers. These master teachers include: Blake McGrath, Liz Imperio, Karen Deese, Aaron Burr, Ayodele Casel, Casey Colgan, Melissa”MJ” Jackson, Mary-Anne Lamb, Claire Williams, plus more.

He was accepted to numerous college dance programs, but chose to start his professional career right out of High school. Through his love for dance he found a passion in Circus. Connor performs professionally as a dancer, aerialist and acrobat.

Outside of performing he teaches and choreographs for competitive dance studios. He currently teaches at Nxt Lvl Dance Experience where he is on the competition company management team. He loves to travel, educating dancers and setting choreography for studios across the country. His choreography has placed top 10 and has received special judges and choreography awards at competitions and conventions suchs Break the Floor Conventions; DMI, Velocity, Platinum, and Encore. Connor has been a competitive dance judge for 3 seasons. He most recently signed with One Beat Dance Brands as a Convention Jazz Teacher. Aside from competitive dance, Connors choreography can be seen on High School dance teams, theatre productions, and Music Videos for the band “Oracle Blue”.

🌟 Winter Workshops Teacher Spotlight! 🌟

Erika Thompson was born and raised in Hamilton, NJ where she danced at the prestigious Princeton Ballet School.

Her professional credits include opening the stage for Colbie Caillat, Andy Grammar, The Cab, and Hinder; performing at large corporate events with clients including G105, First Citizens Bank and Go Red Campaign; and dancing at the famed Dance With Me Studios USA/NYC connected to Dancing with the Stars.

Erika is certified in Alixa Flexibility, Progressing Ballet Technique, and has passed her DVIDA Ballroom and Latin dance examinations. She has studied ballet and jazz extensively at Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Steps on Broadway in NYC, Duke University, Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase, and competed at Youth America Grand Prix.

Although she enjoyed her performance career, her true passion lies in training the next generation. Over the past 13 years of teaching, her students have gone on to attend the top college programs and receive national titles. Her classes have a strong focus on alignment, coordination, and proper progressions so your dancer can not only do the steps- but do them well!

AJ has been dancing for 14 years and has a signature style by the name of "Urban Abstract" that focuses on raw movement and musicality that is inspired by street dance. With notable performances for Breakin’ Convention CLT, We Are Hip Hop CLT & Kulture Klash CLT, AJ has carved his mark on the Charlotte, NC choreography scene. Outside of dance, AJ is CEO & Founder of CrayzeeLab Studio an Event Production company that has worked with Red Bull Dance Your Style, We Are Hip Hop CLT & The Charlotte Hornets.
