Gary mourns the passing of esteemed Community Icon, Educator, Teacher, Coach, Dean, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Earl H. Smith, Jr.

On Saturday, January 25th, scores of Community Leaders, Educators, Kappa Fraternity Members, past citywide Student Alumni, and Admirers gathered at the Gary Mega Church St. Timothy Community to pay tribute to the remarkable life of Coach Smith.

Condolences and Media poured in from the Mayor, Post-Tribune, Gary School System etc.

Our prayers are with his beautiful wife of 58 years Roberta Smith and their wonderul children Sherita Smith and Principal Earl Smith III
