Another big score from MAC.BID and then some heat sinks from a local seller. I was able to find 3 domes for my directional dish; I’ll have spares to use in case cutting doesn’t go easy!

The ladder, it was worth a shot to see if it will work.

The last 2 pictures will be my scaled replic of the Texas Instruments ASR-5 Cross Section Sensitivity Unit FA-4919. It’s metal project box that will work perfectly with the k***s and hoses attached. It’s coming along!

ROOF RACK and PACK RACK progress

Well here is an early mock up to get measurements for the components I have so far. Looks like I’m gonna have to build a white box, which is fine.

My pack rack is a doggie ramp, took apart. Cheap from Mac.Bids, like only $9. Plus some oversized drawers slides to mount to the floorboard, and bang. Add some pack holders and room for 2 at least. Might add some ramp section back on if I find some more friends, haha!

A few hours later, successfully switched my rusted Durango bumper out for a Dakota chrome accent bumper….a little more classic Caddy Ecto look I think!

🚨EQUIPMENT FINDS for ECTO-1D🚨

If you are lucky enough to live close to a MAC.BID warehouse…..use it!!! Even before I started the thought of building an Ecto, I found all kinds of awesome crap…I mean treasures!

These are just some of the pieces that I’ve picked up in the last week for roof rack components. And they are cheap!! I put
a description under each photo of my intended purpose.
