The Jazz Show is this Thursday evening April 4th at 7pm. All general admission tickets for this event will be sold at the door for $8 each - no reserve seating. Geneseo High School's Spring musical offering this year is Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This enchanting "Once upon a time" tale is still one of the best and most performed Disney musicals -- but not for long. Since Disney is about to put this show away for an indefinite number of years, this may be your last chance to see it for a long time. Come see Bell, The Beast, Gaston, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip and all your favorite characters live on stage in Geneseo High School's DePauw Theater. Disney's Beauty and the Beast Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

It's like we were cursed!

We had to cancel our Spring Musical info meeting 2 times in a row because of the snow days. Will the Third time be a charm??! If you have a student interested in being a part of the Spring Musical, please remind them that our informational meeting is now scheduled for Tuesday Jan 30th after school in the DePauw Theater. Anyone interested in on-stage, back-stage, or orchestra positions should attend! Contact Mr. DePauw or Mr. Lord if you can't make it.

Perspective!.. is the theme of The 15th annual Community Choir of Geneseo concert next Wednesday June 28th at 7pm. Miss Pam Edwards, Miss Amy Croft and over 150 of Geneseo's finest voices from all walks of life --both adults and a children's choir -- have been rehearsing and are ready to perform, and they sound absolutely amazing! This is for sure the biggest concert we will have this summer, so don't miss it! Tickets available at the door for $7 each adult, $5 for 18 and under, and age 5 and under are free.

The concert will open your eyes to new perspectives through the gift of music -- and art. Local artist, Sharon Michaelsen is going to interpret one of the evening's songs, “Choose Something Like a Star” visually by finishing a painting on stage during the performance. The finished painting will then be sold by sealed bid that evening at the concert.

This coming Thursday March 30th at 7pm is our annual Jazz Show in the Concert Hall. The High School and Middle School Jazz bands and Choirs will put on a great show. Reserve seating tickets are available here, but there are always plenty of seats available at the door the night of the show.

The Performing Arts Center is a busy place for the rest of the school year! The web site for purchasing tickets for the Spring Musical is now open to the public. Cast and crew have been working hard. I've seen the rehearsals and it's going to be a great show! April 21st thru 24th at the Joe and Marilyn DePauw Theater, in the Geneseo High School Performing Arts Center.

Just a reminder that our Ryan and Ryan "Going Gershwin" concert is coming up this Saturday at 7pm. We had a nice write up in our local paper, but unfortunately it didn't provide an easy address for buying tickets online. I can assure you that we are a BIG house, and there WILL be tickets available at the door. Just make sure you arrive a little early. $20 for adults and $5 for students.
