😲I found a little surprise the other day! I left the anemone corms in place after spring and had heard they could potentially come back in the cooler weather of fall. I noticed some leaves sprouting back in September but assumed they would freeze before sending up a bloom. Well, this brave little soul popped up, and I had to save it from the snow. It now adorns my dining room table. I love little surprises like this!💕

❄️🥶 It's getting frosty out there! That means bulb planting time! 🌷Tulips are up first. 🌷

Foxglove and campanula are in the ground! Next up is planting tulip and "fancy variety" daffodil bulbs.

2025 Season Recap & 2026 Goals

Fall is in full swing, and it finally feels like it (again). Even though we had summerlike temperatures, the flowers were looking a little tough. After a full season of intense cutting and shorter day length, the flowers simply didn't have anything else to give, and we closed for the season Oct. 4th...

⏳️Before and after. The annuals field was mowed down this morning, and it looks so big! This space (about 1/8 acre) is half of what is under cultivation for the flower farm. Being the annuals section, it is cleared out every fall and replanted each year.

🌷Soon, tulip bulbs (treated as an annual for cut flowers) will be arriving, and Foxglove, Sweet William, and Canterbury Bells will be planted out on this area. But first, I need to rake away the cuttings, form, and till the beds to prepare them for planting.

With the farmers market now done, it's time to start fall field work! Today, 4 new ninebark shrubs were added to the woodies area. This is one of my favorite foliages to use in bouquets in late summer and fall. It adds depth and moodiness that I just love.

💕Thank you Genoa, for loving our flowers!
