When I was a child, Memorial Day felt like a historical holiday remembering soldiers fallen in wars that happened generations ago in a bygone era. It seemed so far removed from our day-to-day. My young eyes only saw the old men in faded uniforms. Not the young active duty soldiers they represented. Only until adulthood did I realize the immediacy of the sentiment. Service men and women are putting their lives on the line every day.
So, this Memorial Day, I will remember the soldiers that lost their lives before their time, from wounds seen and unseen. You have my deepest gratitude.

Spring is officially here! Daffodils are starting to open which means we are getting closer to opening for the season!
Heavy snow load + rain = next week's project.
Seed orders are in! As soon as they arrive, I'll have hands in the dirt and seedlings starting. But first I need to repair my greenhouse roof! Luckily, the rain is supposed to dry up, and temps will be near 40F. New roof panels are in the garage waiting to go up. It's nearly go time!
Come check us out at the fall makers market!!

Buying local fresh flowers means they last longer! Each of my arrangements is made to order using only the freshest flowers available. Some of the flowers in this sweet Petite Jar Arrangement were just cut this morning, and many are still buds ready to pop open in the next day or two. You can't get fresher than that!

Got the babies in the ground before the rain yesterday!
Spent some time in the sun yesterday planting out the presprouted Ranunculus. They look so good! Nice healthy roots and some leaves sprouting off the top. Beautiful things to come!
