We get to go to the best parties! Saturday night's dinner was for group of crazy friends that have known each other since 4th grade! They live across the country and stay in touch by planning weekends together. We had such a good time it didn't seem like work!
Friends, wine, and yummy desserts, what can be better....there was dinner too, haha, triple cherry almond crumb topped pie and Death by chocolate mousse pie.

Temperature has gone from upper 90s and 100+ for 3 months to a refreshing (haha) 45 degrees! What better thing to do than bake bread for breakfast! Yummy cinnamon raisin soda bread with cinnamon butter!

A place you MUST visit. 18 Carrot Bakery at 710 Austin Ave. Georgetown TX. Sheri, the owner and baker, was able to bring alive a memory of a favorite treat that my mom used to make. Delicious!
The cinnamon rolls are only available on Sundays. Many other delicious treats during the week.

Tasty Temptations Tips & Tools. It's ICE CREAM season! While you might go through your ice cream rather quickly, if some remains, to keep it fresh cover the top layer with parchment paper or wax paper then replace the lid. This will help prevent ice crystals from forming.

Tasty Temptations Tips & Tools. If your brown sugar has gotten too hard, place a piece of bread, like the end no one eats, in the container and leave overnight. A slice of apple also works well. In the morning, the brown sugar will be soft again. To keep brown sugar soft, add a few marshmallows to the container.

When we make homemade biscuits and scones, we freeze the butter then use a cheese shredder to shred the butter. Tasty Temptations Favorite Bites and Bevs!
Summer is upon us. Herbs are very easy to grow in small spaces by putting in containers or pots and can add SO much flavor to anything you're making. If you're growing fresh herbs, you may need fresh ideas for how to use them. Check out our "Pick an Herb Pesto" and "Fresh Herb Mojito" recipes.
PESTO with basil, oregano, parsley, thyme, or a combination. Once pesto is made, store unused portion in the refrigerator. Or, you can freeze it in ice cube trays for up to a year. Pour in tray, let it freeze, pop out cube and store in zip-lock bag. Take out a cube and add it to your recipe.
MOJITO with mint, basil, or cilantro, You can pair with fruits too like blackberry and basil, blueberry and mint, or pineapple and cilantro. For a spicy twist, cilantro and jalapeno go great together too.

Tasty Temptations Tips & Tools...is back.
Like garlic, but hate peeling cloves? Put desired amount of on a cutting board and with a large knife, gently smash it with the side of the knife. The peel will fall right off. If you find garlic on sale, use this method to peel it then put cloves in small chopper or food processor. Process until chopped/minced. Put chopped garlic into mason jar and cover in olive oil. Spoon out garlic when you need it. Can last up to 6 months in the refrigerator.

Come by to sample My Favorite BBQ Sauce and to place your vote to "Name our Rub" and win a free bottle of BBQ sauce and a jar of rub. The BBQ sauce is savory-sweet-tangy-tart with a little kick. The BBQ rub is a balanced salty-sweet with smoky paprika, garlic and other spices.
