Photos snatched from my friends! Had a lovely evening ing at the Lafayette Bicentennial Ball in Norfolk, Virginia this past weekend! My ancestors (the Dorsey’s) were personal friends with Lafayette and supplied his ships for the American Revolution. I have a personal connection to these anniversaries!

COVER PHOTO; I hope I will get duly credited on the female costumes on this movie. From the set of THE LEGEND OF VAN DORN. Final scene shot; the Ballroom. Outfitted 25 background artists and the two female leads in 1860's ball attire with silk gowns from CivilWarLady.net for this production. Shot in the historic city of Columbia TN, the production is to air next ear on HULU. Several of these gowns will be available for purchase at the Battle of Cedar Creek in October and at Gettysburg Remembrance Day Ball weekend in November! New to the film industry, but not the design industry. Just want to be credited for my work. Our two leading ladies: Ellie Patrikios and Darby.

On set at the HULU movie Legend of Van Dorn in Nashville TN. 90 degrees but everyone’s spirits are high! I am doing costumes for Jesse and Anna, the two female leads. Although I have not been here to dress them everyday for every scene they have been in-95% of their wardrobe has been Civil War Lady!

I arrived home from movie set in Nashville TN the other evening. Only a such short time home, I do apologize no room in the studio to set up to shoot photos or even run a steamer over the gowns I am listing for a FLASH SALE today! I will add more info for you but here is the first gown. It is a lovely Silk Taffeta Ballgown of I call light to medium weight, what I wear in preference. As I am listing the size you must understand: We INCLUDE FABRIC TO LET OUT SEAMS 4 INCHES (in most instances) to custom fit a gown to you. So please don't look at a gown and think it will not fit you, because it very likely can be altered to fit you. This lovely little gown is at a 35"bust and 30" waist. it is 44" length and the description is on the photo

Please note, all of your images from your session are available for free, high resolution download, not just the final 'choice' image. If you have any issues, or have lost your code, please contact us. Additional prints are also available as well as darkroom conversions (to a tintype, for example).

I still have ONE printed portrait that wasn't picked up. If you forgot to pick up your photo, please contact us and we'll mail it to you!

We invite you to learn more about this Living History event and visit us at: www.GettysburgBall.com Dance to the period music of recording artists: The Susquehanna Travellers Band in the spacious Grand Ballroom of the Eisenhower Inn Conference Center on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the premier Ball of the Remembrance Day weekend. Our professional and friendly callers: Tom and Leslie Mack of Virginia have graciously accepted our invitation to call this Living History Ball. New to period dancing? You don’t need to know how to dance and you don’t need a partner: don’t worry, we have engaged the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Dancers Dance Troupe as our Period “Floor Managers” (afterall 19th century balls of this size required them!) to assist all dancers throughout the evening.

Banquet: Our Buffet style Banquet offers you 8 selections, beverages and a dessert table that begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Ballroom entrance. Tickets are sold separately or with the Ball as a combination - but all tickets are by advance sales only.
