Saying it’s an honor and a privilege to do what we do to celebrate at this year’s Awards Banquet…is an understatement. Each year we are floored to see and hear about all that every volunteer does for us, and our community. Honestly, I don’t think most people realize the time and energy that these heroes give, each and every day. THANK YOU!!! This year’s event was hosted graciously, and deliciously, by the unmatched team at The Atrium at Gettysburg College!

When the DJ uses a “fog machine” vs. a “hazer”. Professional DJ’s know the right applications for their equipment and how to create the best looking, desired effect.

Granted, yes, the first pic was taken at an outdoor concert we went to. But when I saw the big blast and the choking cloud of “fog” that engulfed those concertgoers, it got me thinking about the right/wrong tools DJ’s use, too.

Fog machines have their place, but for most events we do, you want to create “atmosphere” - not annoying bursts of low visibility fog that engulf a room. And yes, the second picture was taken at one of our events…😉

Small, more intimate weddings are definitely becoming more common these days. But having a smaller group of people to celebrate with doesn’t mean you won’t have a great party! Came across a trove of thank you notes from some 6th graders we DJ’d for at their dance. Some made us laugh, all made us smile, a couple made us wonder if they were in the same place we were- and a few really hit us in the “feels”. Regardless, our greatest pleasure in doing this work is helping people have fun and forget about “life” for a while…
