****Let** **our** **LOSS** **be** **your** **GAIN****

It has been a unusually slow year for the Kruse Event Center. While that sucks for our business, I used it as a MUCH-needed break to find some sanity I lost a few years ago 🤪.

Then found out a short time ago that our December would not be hosting Christmas parties as we have done for so many years 😬 Needless to say my advertising budget took a hit. I could not sponsor events that I had budgeted for after all.

So you are asking - where is your gain in this story ....

🆓️ PARKING at the Kruse Event Center for anyone coming to the GAH Summer Bash!

The only drawback I found out about last week - if I do not Sponsor the concert, the GAH shuttle will not stop at our venue.

Thankfully our parking is only 6 blocks from the entrance to the concert, so it is not too far!

⚠️The Kruse Event Center is not responsible for any damage, accidents, theft, etc occured while parked there. We do have cameras. Please do not block the alley to the north of our building⚠️.

Something that has been the main basis of the Kruse Event Center. We are not the latest trend or newest flavor. We are like your favorite sweatshirt - comfortable and been around forever! And above all else - honesty and intergrity is VERY important to us. We have always strived to be transparent and affordable for everyone.

Due to life events and other obligations I have neglected posting on my own page. It is time to change that.

And speaking of change - I still have people asking me when I have painted the outside of the Center! Yes, late last year we got a fresh new look on the outside. Still have some changes that will be made but everything takes money and time! And usually when you have one you don't have the other....lol

Throwing this info out to all the NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS in the area - are you looking to raise some serious cash for your cause & have fun doing it? I have a PROVIDERS BINGO LICENSE in place if anyone is interested in teaming up. Give me a call 217.781.8000.

Needing space for a work or family Christmas Party? We have recently had some time open up in early December.

And as we have been for the past 28 years, we are available for Cash Bashes, Memorial Luncheons/Celebrations, Meetings, Open Houses, Birthday/Anniversary Parties, and more.
I now offer 5 hour rentals for events with 60 and under people.

The Kruse Event Center rents our venue to people who are hosting an event, i.e craft show, open house, cash bash, etc.
I have been getting a ton of calls & messages about how to sign up for the event, if the event is full, how to get on a list, etc. I do not get involved with that kind of information. I can tell you yes or no, that we are having that event, but I cannot help with any specifics beyond that. That is all handled by the person who rented my venue.

That being said - I am finding out that there are alot of scams with the vendor/craft shows. I am more than happy to take phone calls or texts asking if an event is legit.

So if you have a public event scheduled at the Kruse Event Center and you advertise your event - PLEASE - include a contact name & how to reach that person on your advertising flyers.

With all the scammers these days I thought I would put this out there so people do not have to wonder if it is legit..... Yes the Kruse Event Center has a Craft Show/Vendor Event scheduled for April 13, 2024 😁.

Disclaimer - the Kruse Event Center is not responsible for renting booths for this Craft Show. Once I get a flyer from the individuals who are running the Craft Show I will post it.

Question for anyone - where do you look to find out public information? I had someone say that an event was not advertised well so I am wondering where does one need to advertise these days? With SO MANY platforms available - it is impossible for a business to advertise on every platform that is available.
For example - we have 2 phone books in Gibson City - most small businesses cannot afford to advertise in both, so the business has to choose one & then loses our due to only half of the customers only getting one book.
If you do have the money to advertise on many different platforms that is great, but then the time factor comes in. Businesses don't have time to post things constantly. Again, some businesses are blessed with a marketing department that does all that for them. Most small businesses have less than a handful of people and trust me, those people are being run ragged trying to keep up as I am one of them.

So tell me - where do you look to find out what is going on locally??

Finally, some photos from events January thru May 2023. I have missed taking photos from a few events due to other obligations & work so if anyone has some feel free to post them.

I have recently added a rental package for baby & bridal showers, 1st birthday celebrations, etc that is for 5 hours for 60 people & under.
The only bad part is I am not able to get photos before those events. If you have rented or are renting in the future with the 5 hr package, I would appreciate photos of your set ups.

So it has been a hot minute since I have posted about the happenings at the Kruse Event Center. Between Events, Auctions and trying to keep up with all the demands at the office, I am always a day (or week) behind.

Since January we have hosted multiple Cash Bashes, Retirement Parties, Auctions, Baby Showers, 1 year old & 2 year old Birthday Parties, Meetings, an 80th Surprise Birthday Party (for the owner of the Kruse Event Center that was foiled by a snow storm), Speakers, Appreciation Luncheons, Dinner Banquets, a Craft Show, Glo Bingo, and we are finished out May this past weekend with back to back Graduation parties that celebrated 10 graduates. Congratulations to the graduates of the Class of 2023 that celebrated their accomplishments with family & friends at the Kruse Event Center!!

Wheww, it is a whirlwind at times, but we love providing a venue where all these precious memories are made. Looking at everyone's photos they post and seeing that familiar background...it makes me smile. We appreciate each and everyone that has supported the Kruse Event Center over the past 27 years.
The next phase of improvements have been scheduled, and now I am patiently waiting for the work to begin!!! Keep an eye out for the fun to begin!!

Will be posting pics hopefully later today or tomorrow depending on how my day goes.
