It’s cold out! Let’s warm up the soul with some Meatloaf, Roasted Potatoes, and Roasted/Glazed Carrots on Wed. Jan 22nd. We will have our usual Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket on Friday, Jan 25th. We will pair that meal with a cup of Chili and a Bag of Chips. Of course, all meals also come with a sweet treat from Cheryl Elder.

You won't want to miss lunch on Wednesday, January 15, 2025! We are excited to welcome back our favorite guest chef, Cheryl Elder, who will prepare one of the staple meals from our childhood: Chicken Tetrazzini! This time, we’ll add a twist by using our Wood Fire Chopped Chicken made by Austin Applegate.

Every meal at DCC has a story and comes from the heart, which is what fuels our passion for cooking. This particular dish was perfect for busy sports seasons growing up, as it could be made a couple of days in advance and quickly thrown in the oven. We owe a lot to Mom for enduring over 30 years of Dad coaching basketball and track while also raising four kids active in sports!

As I look over one of the many handwritten recipe cards she gave us, I must mention that this recipe was originally passed down to her by her sister, my Aunt Theresa Lane.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I and my family have over the years!

Smoking meat this time of year takes a lot of work (and wood). But have no fear we will have some delicious Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork for you on FRIDAY Jan. 10th from 11am-1pm. Come on up to Railside and show Austin Applegate your support during these cold days.

Menu: Choose a beef brisket or pulled pork sandwich with sides of corn casserole, a bag of chips, along with Cheryl Elder chocolate chip cookies for dessert. $15 no tax and no tip.

We had a lot of Prime Rib trimmings so we made a lot of beef and noodles for today’s meal. Enough to sell some extra. Chef Austin Applegate made up some pans of noodles, mashed potatoes, and corn to sell.

Each pan will feed 7 ppl. $40/pan. First 4 pans sold get a 6 pk of our bakery fresh rolls. Please text me at 217-781-2443 or responded here.

Get the word out! We are back in full force for Wed/Fri lunches!!!!

Thanks so much for being patient with us the last few weeks. We were crazy busy with holiday parties, but we are looking forward to once again being able to serve our Wednesday and Friday lunches without interruption.

This week’s menu will look like the one from a couple of weeks ago, but we can’t let those Prime Rib Trimmings from the Lion's Club Cash Bash go to waste (we froze them just like momma taught us)

We are excited to see you Wed. Jan 8th and Fri. Jan 10th!!

Hey, hey, hey!! We’re back! After a crazy couple of weeks catering Christmas Parties, we are back to serving lunches on Wednesday and Friday (for this week). And as promised….you won’t be disappointed with the meal selection.

Wed. 12.18.24: Beef and Noodles made with Prime Rib trimmings, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We have a special guest making desserts for us on Wednesday! Natalie DeSchepper, owner of the Rising Baking Company will be providing us with Chocolate Chip Cookies on Wed. Follow her at Rising Baking Company to learn more about her story as well as updates on her new bakery opening in Gibson City soon!


Fri. 12.20.24: Your choice: Pulled Pork Sandwich or Chopped Brisket Sandwich with Sides of Cheesy Potatoes and a Bag of Chips. I am told that Cheryl Elder will be back at it making desserts on Friday! I'm not sure what she has planned yet, but you know it will be delicious.

NO WEDNESDAY OR FRIDAY LUNCHES UNTIL DEC. 18TH!!

Sorry for the late notice but to focus on the several Christmas Parties we have on the schedule over the next couple of weeks, we have decided to cancel our lunches until Dec. 18th. Here are a couple of noteworthy items though…..

1. Look for us to really bring it that week we return. Feel free to comment below on any meal suggestions!

2. If you are one of the several hundred people that we will be feeding over the next 14 days at your company’s Christmas Party, we can’t wait to serve you! If your company has not yet scheduled your event and you would like DCC to be a part of it, there is a chance we could squeeze in 1 or 2 more depending on the day (sorry Austin!! haha).

3. We have gift cards available for our Wed. and Friday lunches if anyone is looking for a great Christmas gift. FB, email, or text 217-781-2443. $15 each

4. DCC will be catering the NYE Lions Club Cash Bash this year. It has been a couple of years since we have done this and we couldn’t be more excited!

Menu: Smoked Prime Rib or Pork Tenderloin Medallions, Baked Potato, Green Beans, Side Salad, and house-made desserts. This will be held at the Kruse Center on 12.31.24. To Go meals will be available. See any Lion’s Club Member to purchase your ticket or send us a message and we will make sure you get in touch with one. The meals alone are worth the cost of the ticket!

We gave Cheryl Elder the week off but if you have ever had Kristy Elder brownies, you know they don’t disappoint. $15. No Tax, No Tip! Serving 11am-1pm at Railside in Gibson City.

Hello friends! Late getting this week's menu out! Back by popular demand, we have the housemade sloppy joes. An old family recipe passed down from Cheryl Elder. Austin Applegate is making up loaded potato soup and it will not disappoint. And as usual, the meals will come with a bag of chips and dessert.

Friday's meal will be your choice between Beef Brisket or Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Cheesy Potatoes, Bag of Chip, and Dessert.
