Hello Friends, Family and Gilford Community. An update on Timber Hill Farm & The Howe family.
Andy and Martina are admirably coping with the massive loss of their beloved barn. However, it seems every new day they work to move forward with spring farming brings their attention to additional things that were lost in the fire. The barn was home not only to their cattle and chicks but also to their primary farming equipment and supplies. Amongst these things were a John Deere Tractor, JD Gator, Golf Cart, gate & headlock for cattle, multiple ladders, building tolls, harvest bins, water pumps & filters, irrigation hoses, generators, wash bins, 1000s of pots, grow bags, 4 antique horse carriages, come-alongs, building straps, a work tent, farming tools such as pitchforks, 1500+ hay bales, heaters, work tables, wheelbarrows, tragically 200+ chicks, and several of their beautiful cows have been lost since the fire due to smoke inhalation. The list goes on and on and keeps growing.
Andy and Martina are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and our community at large. They are looking forward to seeing the cleanup begin. If anyone can help the family with the long road of cleanup and recovery for the coming season it would be greatly appreciated.
Everyone here is focusing on the beauty still around us, the kind people amongst us, happy moments, and all of the good things ahead.
Cheers and thanks from the THF team.
