Foam Dart Nation started in Rochester, NY in 2015, created by Justin Dangler, who wanted to create a live version of some of his favorite video games with the nerf blasters he loved since his childhood days. He created an inflatable battlefield and invented game modes and rented the local community center to test out his idea...it was a huge HIT with families and kids of all ages. Justin tapped into the Human vs. Zombies event that he had been participating in at Rochester Institute of Technology and has gone on to offer a class at the college and is now, literally, a professor of Nerfology! The initial open play concept has been developed into a huge birthday party business, along with providing a popular event for community recreation programs, summer camps, scouting organizations, sport teams’ end of season banquets and corporate teambuilding events. Additionally, Justin has contributed fund raising events to many not for profit charities and organizations, notably, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Justin also has created signature events, such as the Fortnite inspired, Battle Royale, with over 100 participants competing for prizes on a 70 acre battlefield. In 2016, Justin’s brother-in-law, Alex Hutchings, enrolled at Gannon University as a student and member of the football team. Seeing the success that Justin had achieved, (the New York business has expanded from Rochester to include Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany) Alex teamed with his roommate, Logan Clarke to launch Erie Foam Dart League.
We use Foam Dart Battles to provide our community Fun, Family-Friendly Fitness as well as teach our youth important character-traits such as leadership, strategic thinking, communication skills and being a good teammate. Additionally, we support our community's education programs and organizations that teach life skills and provide equal access to all of our neighbors, regardless of their abilities or special needs.
