Halloween pedestrian safety is crucial, especially for children. To stay safe, remember to exercise caution when near vehicles and walking on pathways. Enhance visibility by using a flashlight, LED lights, or adding reflective tape to costumes, and always walk on sidewalks facing traffic. On Halloween, the risk of child pedestrian accidents doubles, with over 70 percent of incidents happening away from intersections or crosswalks. Stay alert and be seen to ensure a safe Halloween night!

For all my Glen Ellen friends, here’s a pic from
Halloween past.
Recognize the Giant Jack O’Lantern??
It’s the corn-hole game from the Dunbar Halloween Carnival and Haunted Barn!!
That’s our dear departed barn cat, Buddy.

Sigh… the sweet old days of Dunbar merriment and Moondances.
Simple pleasures shared with a large and loving community.

More photos coming. On a nostalgia trip.

We issued⚠️Fire Weather Watch ⚠️for portions of the western Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys for elevated fire weather conditions expected Sunday afternoon-evening. Gusty winds and low humidity will create easier fire 🔥 starts and the potential for rapid spread of fire.

Tip 21: Disasters aren't fun, but some entertainment can keep you occupied while sheltering.

Hogosan is all that and a bag of chips! Hoagie, as we call him, was brought to us when his current living situation wasn't working with his humans. They needed him to be an outdoor cat and he wanted IN!
If you're looking for an active cat that is FULL of personality and will add to any conversation, look no further. He loves to play and has loads to say! Pay no attention to the ear tip, this boy is far from feral and loves people. Come by and meet him Thursday-Sunday between 11-4!

Heading back from gloriously foggy and drippy Bodega, we could see the thunderclouds to the north catching the last of the sun. Arriving home in Glen Ellen, I coukd smell whiffs of rain…somewhere. Woke this morning to the beloved sounds of rain on the roof and in the downspouts. Hopefully, we’ll get just the refreshing showers without the drama of T&L. Drinking in the fabulous scent of rain in the trees.
