Our Story
After a long career in the Aerospace industry, I decided it was time to step back, and with my good friend and family member, Linda, we found this old house is in the heart of Historic Catlin Court up for sale. We fell in love, and the rest is still history in the making. Named “Neighborhoods We Love, Phoenix Homes Magazines (2012), Historic Downtown Glendale and this old home, have seen many changes since the 80’s when it was converted to a full time retail destination. March 2007, we made the purchase, and by May 2008, the finishing touches were added when Linda debuted Papa Ed’s Ice Cream, where young and old enjoy old fashioned ice cream, coffee and tea in her beautiful out-door garden setting.
Today, Country Maiden, Home of Gracie’s Marketplace, features Unique one-of-a-kinds, Vintage Finds, an awesome variety of uniquely made in the USA crafts from local artisans, Everyday gifts, Blue Mountain greeting cards, and up-cycled furniture. We are also proud to provide an amazing inventory of DIY Paints/Painting Accessories for all your DIY Projects including Dixie Belle Paint Company, General Finishes and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint.
