Our Instagram and Facebook have been quiet these days. Honestly, we haven’t felt much like posting. Don’t get me wrong, we LOVE staying connected to our couples and friends on Social Media. But this whole virus thing has taken a toll. It’s heartbreaking to see weddings and events being postponed. But for those of you feeling this way along with us, I thought I would share an experience that may help you...I know it helped me.

On our walk today (we’ve been trying to get outside and walk the pup everyday...he’s losing weight and I’m gaining...but that’s another story) I noticed something very special. Someone had written words on the sidewalk. I remember seeing this posted on Facebook a few days ago, and thought what a great idea! Kids drawing pictures, adults writing messages...to brighten the walks of the neighbors.

The first one I saw was most definitely written in a young person’s writing. It said “You Are Awesome.” That got me looking down a bit more and believe me there was strong competition from the gorgeous clouds today! The next word I saw was “faith.” I thought this is so appropriate, as I truly have faith that things will get better, especially if we are patient through all of this stress. The next word was “hope.” We hope our family, loved ones, friends and couples stay safe. Hope for life to go back to normal, whatever that means for you. For us it means planning with couples for their most special day, helping them to create a vision for their wedding or other event. Going to the flower mart to procure amazing products to leave them speechless! The last word was “love”. To me, that word says it all. Family...how I love and miss my family! Sure we chat via Facetime, phone calls and texting, but it’s really not quite the same, is it? It doesn’t take the place of a hug or kiss on the cheek. “Love” also makes us again think of our work. What we do celebrates “love”, it celebrates joy, family and beauty!

We pray that you and your family stay safe and healthy, and we pray that you experience faith, hope and love in many beautiful ways!
