Doc’s Restaurant is located in the historic Park Theater in downtown Glens Falls, NY. With such a unique space, and decades of experience in fine cuisine, we’re a perfect fit for any occasion.
Chef Matt’s passion for cooking began locally at Schenectady County Community College (1985), and later brought him to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (1989- 2001). From there he has amassed extensive experience in fine dining across the United States which includes the prestigious boutique inn Edson Hill Manor in Stowe, VT, Kampton Place Hotel in San Francisco, CA and the Lark Creek Inn in Larkspur, CA working with celebrity chefs Bradley Ogden, and the late Jan Birnbaum He has also received numerous awards and accolades for his cooking, including “Top Six Best Inn Dining” and appearing as a guest chef at the James Beard Foundation for the “Great Country Inn Chefs”. He has also appeared in Food & Wine Magazine, Bon Apetite and Vermont Magazine. Over the past decade Matt has been employed by Mazzone Hospitality at various locations, most recently Chef De Cuisine at 677 Prime at Saratoga National Golf Course.
Matt’s philosophy of cooking starts with three things: the freshest quality ingredients, eye-catching presentation, and the quintessential dishes that everyone knows and loves. From there, Chef Matt adds his own twist, experimenting with exotic flavor combinations perfected over his 30 year-long culinary career. It is through this philosophy that we present to you our new and improved menu.
