The Stone Mill 1792, also known as the “Keller Paper Mill” and “Old Stone Paper Mill” was built in 1790 and operated as a paper mill until about 1844. It was purchased from the Penn family by Jacob Keller, and was at one time the oldest operating paper mill west of the Susquehanna river. It stayed in the Keller

family for at least two generations producing paper out of rags. In addition to a paper mill, the property and grounds have been utilized as a grist mill, flour mill, distillery and orphanage (among other things!). In local lore, it is said to have been a stop on the underground railroad. For decades, The Stone Mill 1792 has been a sought-after venue for it’s rustic beauty and historic setting, and in more recent years, it has been carefully restored, and thoughtfully updated with modern amenities, for a truly one-of-a-kind experience that you and your guests will never forget.

Announcing our first ever holiday concert, Strings by Candlelight!

Join us for an evening of classical and modern holiday favorites, performed by the award-winning String Quartet from Two Rivers Chamber Music (our sister company!).

Two Rivers Chamber Music will perform Corelli's Christmas Concerto, selections from Vivaldi's Winter and The Nutcracker, and other holiday favorites, all in an intimate candlelight setting.

All ages and perfect for families!

The performance will last about 90 minutes with an intermission.

Our Story

At The Stone Mill 1792, we merge tradition, history, romance and love to help every couple have the wedding they have been dreaming of. As a family owned and operated business we pride ourselves in providing an amazing experience for the bride & groom, as well as their families and friends. For the past 6 years Stone Mill has been providing full day service from start to finish. The 10 acre historic property offers two venues, outdoor and indoor. The outdoor venue provides 3200 sq/ft Brazilian walnut deck with white wedding tent and cafe lighting for up to 175 guests. The grounds have many spectacular features, a wood foot bride, large ceremony site, and beautiful gardens. The indoor venue which is perfect for intimate weddings, showers and parties holds up to 75 guests in the historic mill. We love sharing all that The Stone Mill 1792 has to offer, and we would love to share it with you!!
