For this weekends Mission of Compassion Gala, we get to use these adorable goats in the centerpieces! How freaking cute are they? And they’re up for adoption during the event! We’re also bringing a bunch of candles, lanterns and some fresh flowers to dress up the space. Should be a fun night! Friendly reminder that it’s time to think about changing the water and recutting the stems of the flowers you got for Valentine’s Day. With this little bit of maintenance every few days you can really extend the life of your arrangement!

After so many years working the insanity that is a retail flower shop at Valentines Day, it felt unnatural to not be doing that last week.
But as a twist WE each got flowers from our Valentines this year! We both felt like it was weird arranging a single vase of roses at home instead of hundreds of them at the shop, and traditional rose arrangements aren’t something we make many of for . Was a sweet little change of pace, and we even get to keep these ones! Thanks hubbys!

Also, huge props to all the florists, you did a great job and helped spread so much love. We know you worked so so hard, too. Hope you’re resting up all weekend, you earned it!!

Anyone else just add Valentines decor to their holiday wreaths so you can leave them up even longer? Hopefully not just us. We like to select our personal holiday wreaths based on what looks good for the December holidays, still works for general wintertime through January, and if possible can be tweaked to stay cute through Valentines in February. (But after that it’s gotta go, we need some springtime asap it’s time to change it up!)

Had a quick little site visit at today. The next time we see this skylight we’re going to drape it in fresh foliage for Haley & Jake. Like, a lot of foliage. It’s going to be fab! Can’t wait to show you.

Aside from our beautifully springy booth we’re making a Bridgerton inspired centerpiece for the wedding show in a few weeks. The color scheme is a dusty blue, peach, pink and cream. So, pretty similar to this. Would you pair Gold or Silver candle holders with this palette??
