Hi All,
well we are a week away from the BBQ Chicken fundraiser and we are still 25 pounds short of our goal. Please let me asap if you could donate 5 or 10 lbs. Desserts are looking good, but could use some more. We are in need of a few more folks to serve. Please consider signing up for a slot in the 4:30 to 5:30 or the 5:30 to 6:30 time. We will have a Business Meeting Tuesday October 8th @ 7pm and make final preparations for the Chicken BBQ Scholarship Fundraiser to be held Saturday October 12th.

HI All,
I know I do not need to tell you of the complete devastation a large part of our NC mountains sustained.
GCC members Drew and Linda Kennedy will be delivering needed supplies to the area next week. They have a 7 ton capacity dump trailer to fill with donations. Items needed most are bottled water, wet wipes, adult diapers, non-perishable food, paper products
(toilet paper, plates, cups, paper towels), plastic utensils, batteries and pampers. The GCC will serve as a collection site on Sunday from 10 till 2 for you to bring any of the above much needed items.
Lets fill the trailer to the brim.

The GCC will have a BBQ rack tune up on Saturday September 29th @ 9:30 am. Bring your gloves, pliers and wire cutters. The last Chicken BBQ Scholarship Fundraiser of 2024 will be held on Saturday October 12th

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are enjoying this glorious weather.
Come on out Monday for Bingo at the GCC. Doors open at 6 and first game starts around 6:30. Bring friends as bingo is open to the public. Come back to the GCC for our covered dish meeting on Tuesday. Bring a entrée, appetizer, side dish or dessert if you can. Bring friends and maybe they would like to join the GCC. Bring them even if they don't - the more the merrier. Social hour starts at 5:30 and we will eat around 6:30ish. There will be volunteer sign up sheets for October 12th Chicken BBQ Scholarship Fundraiser.
