Here at Gumbeau's, when we smoke brisket, we use hard wood in a stick burner smoker, manage the fire all night, and season with salt and pepper only.
Binders, sugar based rubs, and corn syrup coated meat are for amateurs.....

So, we just did a thang... that's a 40" by 20" diameter rotisserie basket! Has a 120 lb chicken wing capacity. We'll have some video of it in action soon, but if you're looking for catering, that is both exceptional and different... contact us.

Starting at 1pm we'll be at Gloucester Brewing Companyserving up some ICE cold Oysters, ICE cold Shrimp cocktail, and our always popular Pollos Tropicales tacos (house chicken adobo marinade, pineapple salsa).

We'll also have our football atomizer sideline fan that covers a 50ft radius and drops the ambient temperature 20+ degrees, we're creating a little Oasis, come join us!

We've were approached by Gloucester Farmers Market at Historic Ware Church very recently, and it looks like we'll be appearing at the second Saturday markets for the season...starting this
Saturday!
Due to last-minute arrangements, the menu is a bit muted, but we will have some breakfast items on hand as well as a bit of lunch.

COFFEE!!! Yes... we will be providing fresh, brewed on-site, coffee... as per a number of requests! We use "Community Coffee" signiture blend dark roast. No decaf(sorry)

In the future, we will also be setting up our mobile market for selling fresh local seafood and beef raised literally down the street by Young Overholt . Of course, there will be plenty of other take-home items as well as a full menu in the food truck.

Stay tuned because we will be providing some butchery items not seen in our area.

***PS next week will be limited, but we will now be the featured mobile kitchen, local beef purveyor (courtesy of Young Overholt), local Seafood and likely mini produce provider at the Gloucester Farmers Market at Historic Ware Church!! Can’t wait to see our hometown folks next week.

Here's our menu for tomorrow (Thursday 5/23) at Gloucester Brewing Company 🤠👨🏻‍🍳

We will be firing the 'Smoke Wagon' up around 4AM tomorrow to deliver you fresh REAL BBQ by 4pm, and of course add some good smells to you morning Main street commute.

Yep, that's right, our fresh pulled pork and beef dino ribs, TOMORROW!! Along with our sought after Shrimp and Grits and Chicken and Andouille gumbo, two blue crab dishes and more!

We will have enough BBQ pork for you to purchase for your get-together this weekend as well. $12/LB.

***ALSO we have 1️⃣ smoked/fully cooked whole brisket up for grabs from Young Overholt, raised here locally in Gloucester. DM if you are interested in having the best brisket around at your Memorial day party.***

It’s perfect day for the pub and some of the best grub around! We’ll be serving up a 🔥 kissed dinner today, starting service at 4pm, after some of this weather passes.

New dishes include Tikka Masala flatbread, jumbo lump blue crab flatbread (the lobster sauce base is 🤤), Broiled Oysters on the half shell two ways, Bone marrow, cedar planked brie and glazed salmon…and of course Shrimp and Grits!

Fresh local beef tartare via the top quality beef from farm. Beautifully marbeled fillet, hand minced and garnished with the classics...cornichons, shallot, capers, grain mustard, fleur de sel, and peppercorn melange, topped with a fresh quail yolk, along side brioche toast points.

Its that time of year....crabs!!
This crab was harvested here by YOUR local waterman. Processed HERE by Sea Farms, distrubited and prepared as a product here by us, and sold here. At every step, the money stays here....in our county (at least as much as is possible).
Thanks to you watermen, processors, distributors, and buyers....this is local. 🦀

Ya'll ready for the only real stick/wood smoked meats around? Good, cause we're bringing it BACK! This upcoming Saturday April 6th, we'll be outside of Gloucester Brewing Company for the Daffodil Festival - Gloucester, Virginia Serving up the best brisket, pulled pork (BBQ for the Virginians) and wings this county has to offer. You can also expect 'bloomin onions', affordable BOMB street tacos - and of course, our coveted Shrimp & Grits. We're putting in some late nights this upcoming week so we can bring you the best of the best. P.S. - this is the face you make when your brisket comes out PERFECT. 🤠🤘🏻👨🏻‍🍳
