It’s crazy to think we are gearing up for planting already! The boys worked on the small rototiller and I got some bulbs 🌷 in the ground for a little experiment. I’m hoping next week to direct sow some cold hardy veggies 🫛 🥦 🥬

Talking with a couple of garden friends inspired me to do my seed inventory and get my seed orders in. We will also get some seeds started tomorrow.

I want to say thank you to all of my customers this year. Like always, the profits from the flowers and veggies go to the seeds of next year. Any profits above that, I typically donate to a cause. Sometimes it’s teachers in need, other times it has been Warm the Children.

This year I decided to do something different and share my skills and love for flowers with children by teaching a class in this session of the Barton Graded Afterschool Porgram. For 4 Wednesdays between now and winter break, we will be making different arrangements. This week was faux thanksgiving centerpieces.

I’m hoping to get some after pictures from the program manager. 12 kids were keeping me busy with their questions and excitement.

The profits from the farm stand and flowers are paying for the supplies for these 4 classes. Thank you all for your support and allowing me to experience the fun with the kids.

I’m so late getting these out for sale, that I just want them enjoyed so they are cheap! You will be hard pressed to find any bigger pumpkins with a strong stem for $5

We are still moving veggies out, but some are out. Everything is priced to sell, I need to get my hightunnel ready for fall and winter so I need to make sure this delicious produce goes to people who will enjoy it or need it.

I did some long overdue maintenance in the greenhouse to tame the tomatoe jungle.

This also means I did come heavy cutting of the flowers.

Tomorrow at the farm stand there will be bouquets and small vased arrangements!!💐🌻🌿

The sunflowers are here rain or shine and cut flower bouquets are out and ready to brighten your day!

The stand is out of stock for oil, beans, and flour but more will be ready tomorrow.

Today, all proceeds from sunflower sales will be donated!

I need help! I was gifted this horse trailer last fall and plan on making it into my farm stand. We have it set now for the 🌻 but I really want to paint it.

What color should it be? It will be used for the summer and fall
