Our team had a great time celebrating Nicole & Samuels wedding day!
Nicole and Sam are the sweetest couple, such a pleasure to work, sharing their day was the best.
Their whole family was kind and sweet to everyone, so loving to one another, and (again) I cried while watching the sweetest moment between the Grandfather and Father of the bride. These two men were sharing their love and pride of sweet Nicole, happy for her and Sam.
They chose great vendors that were so fun to work with! From the venue team (amazing), photography and video, Photo Booth fun, and a rocking DJ.. this whole team worked seamlessly together.
Can’t wait to share their wedding day photography, I know they will be fantastic!

When I hear someone discussing how expensive flowers are for weddings, I want to YELL how time consuming flowers are.
You don’t whip up a flower bouquet and add ribbon.
I spend at LEAST 1 hour in an in-person meeting with my clients to discuss style, shape, size (yes I pull a tape measure to measure their hips), flower options, ribbon choices, banding vs bow, all the gritty details to make your dream day. All while making a million notes so I don’t forget one detail many months later on flower day (It could even be as long as a year and half).
Then comes the formal estimate of your wedding flowers which consists of determining quantity of flowers to achieve the entire flower list, creating an estimate, and emailing. Once you accept the estimate, then it magically turns into an invoice for payment.
Next I place the order for the flowers, which come from more than one vendor.
Two-three days before the event, flowers arrive. While I am waiting at the store for the delivery truck, times a ticking. Filling buckets with water, prepping my workspace. Then once flowers arrive and the trimming of stems, removing leaves, plucking petals begins. And let’s not forget the trash and clean up which is a whole experience. The work continues prepping vases to hold bouquets, garland wire, boutonnière boxes and pins, corsage cases… then finally… I turn on the music and look one last time at notes.
I am ready to begin.
I put on my creative hat and start the list.. always starting with the bridal bouquet. This final design of the bouquet determines everything else. Any changes in design? Send a photo to my bride and show them. Then, second guess time. Should it be bigger? More flowy? Is it too round? Should I add more greenery? Should I take out greenery? (Yes, this is an honest moment I do on every bouquet). I look in the mirror at my reflection with the bouquet in hand, making sure it is perfect to present to my bride.

Our whole team had back to back events this weekend, everyone was on staff and made it happen from Goldsboro to Washington to Emerald Isle to Newport! Thanks to Nadine, Wanda, Carol, Mary + Hubby, Jeff, Catherine, and Charlotte that got it all done! Everyone is at home resting for Mothers Day, much needed down time.
