When I host my "Leadership Is About Behavior" workshops, we discuss how impactful leaders show respect to others. Three ways we can show respect to others is to:
- Initiate a handshake
- Provide an introduction
- Make and maintain eye contact

During my 25-year military career shaping Air Force organizations on five continents, I extended this measure of civility to all persons - regardless of rank, position, or status; and I continue this practice post retirement.
