We can't wait to see this musical on our stage!
Blood Brothers is a musical with book, lyrics, and music by W***y Russell and produced by Bill Kenwright. The story is a contemporary nature versus nurture plot, revolving around fraternal twins Mickey and Eddie, who were separated at birth, one subsequently being raised in a wealthy family, the other in a poor family. Our summer camp deadline is swiftly approaching!
Make sure to get your theater interested kids signed up by Monday, June 3rd!
Goshen Theater Drama Club’s Summer Camp is a unique, three-week program focusing on fine arts learning, fun, and performance. Participants learn about theater, design, storytelling, history, and teamwork. Classes are held at the newly-renovated, historic Goshen Theater.
Professional instructors and local educators serve as guides for this one-of-a-kind program. The culmination of the three-week experience is a live performance on the Goshen Theater Stage! Each student’s design work and group projects will be displayed in a gallery show in the GT lobby.
The Drama Club’s summer camp doesn’t just focus on performers: Students are exposed to every aspect of theater production, helping to create and design their final show. From program design to costumes and scenic painting, the Goshen Theater Drama Club’s three-week summer program is for youth, by youth!
We believe practical, hands-on creativity is the best way to learn, and you’ll be surprised how much theater arts has to teach about math, science, English, writing, and creative problem-solving.
Two tracks are available to campers: “Performance” and “Technical Theater.” While every student will experience both performance-based and technical design lessons, we want them to explore art in the most exciting – and comfortable – ways for them. Performance track students will be on stage for the showcase, while Technical Theater students will create designs, running the production from behind the scenes.
Tuition:
Full Three Weeks – $250/student
One or Two Weeks – $100/week
Financial aid and Scholarships are available. Email [email protected] for more information.

Join us tomorrow night for the free premiere of this new documentary from Goshen College & FiveCore Media!! The Goshen College Film Production program will present the premiere of their documentary ‘Goshen - A Sundown Town’s Transformation’ on Tuesday, March 21st at 7pm at The Goshen Theater. The event is free and open to the whole community. There will be concessions available. A panel discussion sponsored and moderated by the Goshen Community Relations Commission will follow the film. ‘Goshen - A Sundown Town’s Transformation’ explores Goshen, Indiana’s past as a racially exclusionary Sundown Town and how the community is finding ways to acknowledge this history and move forward. There have been thousands of such communities in the U.S., but Goshen is among the first to make a bipartisan declaration regarding “a past to stand against.” For most of the 20th century, starting around 1900, Goshen, Indiana, was a “sundown town,” meaning African Americans were, by social and cultural means, excluded from living in Goshen or even staying overnight here. On March 17, 2015—after unanimous support from the Goshen Ministerial Association, Community Relations Commission, City Council and mayor—the council addressed Goshen’s lamentable legacy by adopting “A resolution acknowledging the racially exclusionary past of Goshen, Indiana, as a ‘sundown town.’” The resolution concludes: “It happened, it was wrong, it’s a new day.” However, the shadow of this sundown-town history remains, and to what extent the “new day” is realized is up to the resolve of the community. The short-documentary was made by Goshen College film production major, Silas Immanuel, as a Maple Scholar’s project advised by Kyle Hufford, Associate Professor of Communication.
