Did you know our local artist designed logo represents the New Hampshire State Amphibian?
The spotted newt, Notophthalmus viridescens, was designated as the official state amphibian of New Hampshire after the 2 year effort of highschool students in 1985. The Union Leader newspaper (April 25, 1985, p48) lists the newts as the “perfect symbol for ensuring ecology in New Hampshire as they exist predominantly in the rain and runoff sodden areas.”

A new breakfast joint 10 minutes from the inn! For the last couple years I haven’t had a place to recommend to guests that isn’t a 20+ minute drive! Can’t wait to try it, I’ll leave my honest opinion once we’re able to check it out!

We have something exciting to officially announce! 🎉

The Brook Road Inn is adding another property to our listings! We have had MONTHS of cleaning and renovating to make this property what it is today! This 3 bedroom 2 bath house is located directly across the street from the inn. It sits on 25 woodland acres. There is a beautiful pond and the famous Gunnison Brook that runs through the property. There are wonderful trails and the warmer weather will bring grassy areas to picnic by the pond and the Brook. The house can sleep 6-8 guests. It’s a perfect set up for a ski trip to sunapee or a summer getaway for a large family or a great shared place to rent out with a group of family and friends.

The blue Goose room transformation really showcases how we restored the original charm in the wood floors and the new shiplap closet door but gave the room a more modernized and chic atmosphere with the wall color and decor.

This before and after has to be one of my favorites! I had the most fun with the decor in these 2 rooms! This is a family style unit and sleeps up to 5 guests between 2 conjoined rooms. The first room with the queen sized bed is our “look west” room it has great views of our beautiful back yard and has a cozy feel for the parents to sleep. The conjoined room is the “skylight” room which has a unique skylight window 10+ feet up in the ceiling! The bunk beds and decor in the skylight room give this space a young and fun feel to the room which is great for the kids of the family!
