Historic Granbury Opera House was built in 1886 and is home to the Granbury Theatre Company who produces stage plays and musicals throughout the year as well as hosting concerts and other special events.

For the better part of a decade, the Granbury Theatre Company has called the Granbury Opera House their home, staging award-winning productions for thrilled, packed-house audiences. But since early 2020 the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic has shuttered the Granbury Opera House along with theatres from Broadway to the West Coast, devastating the performing arts. It’s often said that the night is always darkest before the dawn… and at GTC we believe our brightest days are ahead of us! While we aren’t out of the woods yet, a new dawn is upon us, and we look forward to announcing our plans to safely reopen again soon! The Granbury Theatre Company is a 501c3 nonprofit arts organization, and over the years, we’ve relied nearly exclusively on ticket revenue to support our work at the Granbury Opera House.
