Mother Nature is against us once again. We unfortunately have to cancel Hear GI 2024 - Week 3 - Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal, The Midland Band, The Cavves, Darkwood (DJ Set) due to severe weather forecasted for the evening. When weather is not on our side, there is not much we can do about it except shake our head and march forward. All bands that are not able to play due to weather cancellations will be invited back to the 2025 schedule.

Williams, the dynamic guitarist and songwriter coming to us all the way from Denver, is joining us on the road while on tour, celebrating his latest album, “By Way of RVA”. Catch D.J. Williams and his band as they promise a fusion of funk, rock, and soul that’ll have you dancing all night long! 🎸✨

🚀🌍 LORD BOOT deployed J.O.R.D. to Planet World to teach about oil consumption and the dangers of sand. 🛢️⚠️ Meet THIRST THINGS FIRST! Originally formed by telemarketers Mike and Al with robotic drummer J.O.R.D., they added pro wrestler Laser on bass. Now, in the year 4024, with Palindrome-Man on guitar and Armour A, Megaspain, and AJ in the mix, TTF is ready to rock! 🎸🤖

🎶 The whole night kicks off with DAS DAT. Get ready to groove with the band that’s packed with talented musicians. This Funk & R&B sensation is based out of Lincoln, NE but features Grand Island’s own Keeran Woode Music! Each member brings their own unique style, creating an unforgettable, accessible sound. 🎤🎸

🔥 On the lineup, we have the amazing Kyle Sayler Band - Kyle Sayler Music. These tri-city musicians are back to rock the Hear GI stage with their COUNTRY ROCK vibes, setting the bar high for the next 10 weeks! We hope to see you dancing and singing along to this high-energy group! 🤠🎤

🌟 Making their Hear GI debut, we welcome Nebraska-based Mike Semrad & the Riverhawks! Get ready for some funky, rock-n-roll soul music that will have you dancing all night. Complete with a costume party contest, AM/FM Lincoln had everyone up on their feet that night dancing the night away. August 4th 2023 was a night for the BOOKS. 🙌🏼🎉 This year will be even more rad, and yes—AMFM will be here closing it all up on August 2nd 2024. We can’t wait to get everything going for 10 weeks of FREE CONCERTS, EVERY FRIDAY, and GREAT LIVE MUSIC! 🎶⚡

Reminiscing on last year!...What an unforgettable night we had on Friday, July 21st, 2023! Here’s a recap of the incredible bands that rocked our festival! 🎸🎉
✨ Our punk show brought The Killigans back to Amur Plaza, with their electrifying folk-punk rock tunes! Their pure punk rock energy left us buzzing! ⚡️🎶
🎵 We had the amazing Social Cinema join us for their Hear Grand Island debut. They made sure to make a stop on their coast-to-coast tour right here at our festival. Their infectious melodies kept us singing and dancing all night long! 🌟💃🕺
🎤 Blondo - NE hit the stage with their explosive pop-punk and alternative sounds! Formed in 2021 and hailing as one of the best pop-punk bands in Lincoln, they had us up and jumping and singing along to every beat! 🚀🎸
Thank you to everyone who joined us for an epic night of music and memories last summer! 🎶❤️
We hope to see you out there this year when it all kicks off on Friday, May 31st!

WOW OH WOW!!! 😱🤯 Hear Grand Island was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Tourism Event by the Nebraska Tourism Commission. We are beyond thrilled and honored for this recognition!

We want to give a special shout out to every single person who comes out to Hear Grand Island every Friday night over the summer to enjoy live music with us. We would not be here if it wasn’t for your constant support for what we’re doing here.

Let's take it back to Hear Grand Island week 6 featuring Igor and the Red Elvises, Wild Roses, Bug Heaven and Darren Keen on Friday, July 7, 2023. 🙌

Igor and Red Elvises took the stage by STORM⛈ with their first appearance in Grand Island. This American band captivated our audience with quirky, party surf-rock songs 🏄‍♂️🤙 that got the crowd laughing and singing along to the call and responses from the legendary man himself, Igor. Just like their giant red balalaika 🔺 ([a Russian stringed musical instrument with a characteristic triangular wooden] which is actually a bass designed to look like a traditional balalaika), this band was LARGE and IN CHARGE! 💪 We know you loved them and their energy, we hope to see Igor and the Red Elvises to return in years to come. 🙏

The Kearney local legends returned stronger than ever. 🤩 Wild Roses returned with some new members and new music that they were eager to share with Hear GI. 🍷 Like wine, they keep getting better every year!

Bug Heaven also made their debut to Hear GI 🐛, kicking off the night with a powerful start! We were transported to a haven🧘🐞, where every tune gave us an earworm🪱 that refused to leave our minds and convinced us that all bugs do go to heaven. 🪲🦟

The legendary madman 🤯🧠, Darren Keen, gave us the perfect house music that got us moving and grooving. 💃🕺 It's not surprising that this genius has now migrated to the promised land of house music, Chicago. 🌇
