Knives in Hens
Knives in Hens, performing November 14-23, is a brutal fable set in a spartan, rural community. When the plowman Pony Williams tells his wife, the unnamed Young Woman, that she is like a field, the simile makes no sense to her. But she then embarks on an extraordinary journey towards articulacy, knowledge and emerging consciousness. This modern Scottish classic also takes the age-old structure of the romantic triangle and infuses it with new meaning. A must-see for lovers of dramatic theatre, performing in the intimate Mesa Experimental Theatre. Rated R for mature content.
