Have you ever been to a wedding where the dance floor is just… not it? Yeah? Us too! There are SO many things that can make or break your dance floor and your DJ is one of the biggest ones. Playing the right songs at the right time is a skill learned over the years through experience! Here are a few things that ruin a dance floor and a few tips how you can revive it! ❌ lighting that’s too bright (or non existent) 🪩 Great lighting- think, fun and upbeat, but turn off the overhead lights! ❌ chunky, stop and start transitions that leave you standing around thinking “what song is this?” 🪩 smooth, seamless transitions ❌ Lackluster energy and a lot of sitting! Be sure to get up and DANCE! 🪩 ENERGY- dance, smile, dance, laugh, repeat! ❌not enough time or space, or too much time and too much space! Too much space might make the dance floor look empty (even when it’s not) and can discourage other guests from dancing! 🪩TIME and SPACE- you need time to dance and warm up the floor. And you need a good dance floor! Not too big, not too small, just RIGHT! Think a foot or two per person! What made your dance floor poppin?

This helps us hear whether the beats and keys match up so we have a seamless transition. You can also see Nico playing with the filters to get a nice sweep into the next song.
