Mountain View Farm
I recently had the pleasure of meeting the new owners of Mountain View Farm, and let me tell you, they are a dynamic duo that is sure to take this venue to new heights. Jessica Sander-Cederlof and Felicia Baker are Identical twins born and raised right here in Grand Junction, they bring a deep love for our community and a shared vision for making dreams come true.
Graduates of Central High School and both holding Bachelor's Degrees in Sport Management and Business from Colorado Mesa University, these sisters do everything together. And when I say everything, I mean it - they even dreamed of owning a wedding venue together since their high school days.
Their dream finally became a reality when they took over Mountain View Farm, a charming venue officially opened in 2016 by Bob and Jeri Prescott. The venue holds special significance for them, as Jessica was the first bride to walk down the aisle there on June 11, 2016, followed by Felicia's own wedding on August 20, 2016.
After the Prescotts put the venue on the market in May of 2022, the twins couldn't shake the feeling that this was their chance. Despite not being able to swing it at the time, they kept the dream alive. And now, almost two years later, they're making it happen.
But they're not just keeping things status quo; they're elevating the Mountain View Farm experience with exciting updates. Picture this: a bridal getting ready suite equipped with everything a bride and her party could need, including four makeup stations, a flower girl station, and even a coffee station. And for the gents, there's a Grooms Lounge complete with two TVs, gaming consoles, and a poker table.
But wait, there's more! They've also created a luxurious Couple Apartment, a two-bedroom suite perfect for post-wedding relaxation. And let's not forget about the venue itself - with beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies and pictures, as well as a spacious indoor area freshly painted and ready for receptions or smaller events.
Excited yet? Just wait until you hear about their upcoming open house on May 4th. Picture this: free charcuterie by Palisade Boards, a live DJ setting the mood, stylized wedding displays to spark your creativity, and even a photo booth for capturing those unforgettable moments. And if that's not enough, there's "Bump and Jump" by Fizz Pop Parties, alpacas, and mini highland cows to add a touch of whimsy to your photos.
So mark your calendars and join us at Mountain View Farm on May 4th. Trust me, you won't want to miss it!
