❄️This week as I run around with a to do list full of things that have no chance of getting accomplished by Christmas (getting ready for company, wrapping, grocery shopping and oh ya work!), I was reflecting on why we do this to ourselves. Why are the holidays stressful rather than just a time to enjoy with family and friends?
🎄Then, as I was chatting with some perspective 2025 clients this week, it also made me think about the “stress” of weddings. Every potential client tells me the same thing, they are stressed about their wedding planning. But why do we make weddings stressful? They are simply a time to truly celebrate your love with the people who love you the most. There will be some inevitable stress with planning a wedding. However, I truly find that the stress becomes so much less when my couples are planning a wedding that is true to who THEY are as a couple, not what society or TikTok tells them their wedding should be. So whether you are in the middle of planning your wedding or just got engaged and are starting your planning, remember that decisions are easier to make when you pause and ask yourself each time “Does this feel like US? Is this something WE really want or is important to US?”.
❄️More importantly, give yourself a wedding planning break this holiday season! Get done what has to be done on your real life to do list and leave your wedding planning to do list until after the New Year. Take the time to be present with family and friends and I will take my own advice and and remove some of the items off of my list this week. Absolutely no one is going to care what the napkins look like at my Christmas dinner . . . ☺

According to Vogue, colorful weddings are staying on trend for 2023 and we are here for it. While we love a classic, elegant white wedding, brightly colored weddings in the Colorado mountains are pretty stunning! Feel free to gain some inspiration from C+K's colorful fall wedding at Granby Ranch. We are still SOOOO in love with her wedding dress and the green suit. These two could not have been more fun and we loved helping bring their vision to life! Moral of the story, don't be afraid to add some color to your wedding palette.

We started working with Shamirah and Fernando in April of 2019, which ended up being 2 years and 5 months before we could finally have their dream Colorado wedding. I truly cannot explain how happy this sneak peak video by @klpvideo makes me. This incredible couple went through so many personal challenges leading up to their wedding day, but their kind and gracious personalities never wavered.
