Storm’s Backstory:
Born Ororo Munroe to a tribal princess of Kenya and an African-American photojournalist father, Storm was raised in Harlem, New York City and Cairo, Egypt. She was made an orphan after her parents were killed in the midst of an Arab–Israeli conflict. Storm draws her power from the Earth's electromagnetic field, allowing her to generate lightning, tornados, blizzards, and massive maelstroms. At times, she's been able to control the air in someone's lungs and the air pressure in a person's inner ear.
