Lyra’s Photography Journey

Lyra began using a “big camera”, (a bottom of the line Nikon DSLR) in 2009 when her third child was born. She had no idea where this little hobby would take her. But, over the course of the past 10 years, she has continued moving forward in her growth as a photographer. The learning curve was pretty intense at times, as Lyra plunged deeper and deeper into photography. In 2018 she was accepted into Click Pro, and in January of 2019 one of her pictures (above) was featured in National Geographic’s Top 15 photos of the week. She continues her obsession of capturing everyday life with her family and has recently begun mentoring other photographers.
