Our Story
Established in 1872, the St. Adalbert’s Aid Society was established to support the Polish emigrants who settled around the West Side of Grand Rapids. The society assisted in building the first Polish Catholic Church in Grand Rapids – the Church of St. Adalbert. They built their first meeting rooms at the corner of Fifth and Davis in 1893 and actively supported the St. Adalbert’s Parish. Since its early beginnings, the Hall membership has donated countless money and man hours to aid members, community organizations and events in Grand Rapids – specifically the West Side neighborhoods.
A member only club, the Hall is open 12 times a year to the public for various events ranging from Halloween and St. Patrick’s celebrations, various fundraising events for local charities and annually for the greatest celebration ever – Pulaski Days.
