Josey & Hayden chose to exchange vows at the groom’s grandmother’s house and property in Northern Michigan, infusing their day with a deeply personal touch and honoring family history in a beautiful way. The venue provided a picturesque setting for their festivities, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Northern Michigan holds a special place for Josey & Hayden and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share their incredible wedding day!

The day started with a sense of anticipation as we prepared for what was forecasted to be a dreary, cold day. A day that embraced romance, coastal vibes, and genuine joy. It all unfolded at The Leelanau School in Glen Arbor, Michigan, and we were delighted to play a part. The Leelanau School, with its connection to Jessica’s family summers, provided a fitting location for their special day.

Jessica and Jacob treated their guests to a food truck experience, reflecting their laid-back yet refined taste. Cordwood knocked it out of the park with incredible BBQ options. It was a hit, leaving everyone raving about everything they ate.

Creating a structured timeline is crucial to ensure everything runs smoothly & that all aspects of the planning are accounted for.

Three things to consider when putting together a wedding timeline:
1. Photography Schedule | Based on how many hours you have your photo team for, we’ll help you ensure that there’s ample time to capture all the essential moments
2. Buffer Time | Speeches sometimes go long, transportation sometimes gets delayed, things happen! Incorporate buffer time between the formalities to allow for breathing room in case things run longer than expected, or if there’s unexpected delays!
3. Include time to take it all in! Amidst the excitement and busyness of the day, schedule intentional down time for the couple to soak in the significance of the moment. Whether it’s a private toast after the ceremony or a brief escape during the reception for sunset photos, these little pauses are invaluable.

Our Story

Stellaluna Events was born out of a passion for creating fulfilling experiences. We don't believe weddings are about choosing certain decor just because its trendy or overspending just to impress your guests. Your wedding or event should be about gathering a group of your favorite people together to celebrate. It's about creating a meaningful memory.

The Stellaluna bride chooses soft seating for her wedding not because it will make great photos, but because it will make her guests comfortable and encourage meaningful conversation. She can't wait for the band to play the perfect ‘get up and dance song’ and doesn't worry over whether her candlesticks are gold versus bronze.

We love couples who throw out tradition. Let us encourage you to do it differently.
